The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 5: A sneak peek of what happened
Episode 5 of The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 dropped on June 1, and it delivered one of the season's most intense episodes. The episode begins with the Dama instructing Negan to bring Christos into the alliance in return for his family's safety. Negan tries to make Christos agree to join the Dama's group when the Croat appears and accuses Christos and his group of attacking the methane plant. The Croat failed to understand that Bruegel planned to plant a piece of evidence against Christos. Meanwhile, a sudden gas attack kills most of the people in Christos' group, and Negan barely manages to escape.
Everything seems to fall apart as the Croat and the Dama break into an argument when the Croat pushes the Dama, and candles around them fall, starting a fire. Instead of helping, the Croat chooses to stay numb as the fire engulfs the Dama. Maggie, Hershel, and Perlie, with a little help from Ginny, narrowly escape execution thanks to a walker attack led by Roksana, who was hanged by Lucia. Meanwhile, Lucia is finally killed by Roksana.
However, Bruegel resurfaces just as the group escapes the walker attack. Hershel comes clean about his connection to the Dama while we see a wound on Ginny.
With old alliances destroyed, leadership in ruins, and only a few survivors left, the show is marching towards its endgame. Episode 5 shifts the power dynamics completely, leaving viewers bracing for a final, possibly deadly and ruthless.
