What happened in The Winning Try Episode 1 and 2?

The first two episodes of The Winning Try provided a perfect introduction to the characters and the storyline. It began with the arrival of Ju Ga-ram, back at his high school to coach the losing rugby team.

However, this new job comes with numerous hurdles for our hero, as nobody likes him due to his previous doping scandal, which cost him his career as an athlete. From the team captain to the coaches, everyone wanted to kick him out, but he was there to stay.

Therefore, after a group vote by the coaches and captains of all the school's sports ends in a draw, Ga-ram gets to stay as the coach of the team. With hatred all around for him, even in the team, he still manages to convince the team captain, Seong-jun, to come back and play against Daesang High School's rugby team.

In just one game, Ga-ram demonstrated the team's potential by changing their strategy and helping them score a point against the best team. Even after the win, one of the players, Kang Tae-pung (Cho Han-gyeol), decides to leave the team as their former coach offers him a position at Daesang High.

In the next two episodes of The Winning Try, we will see Ga-ram trying to find a seventh player for the team after Tae-pung's departure, to save the rugby team from disbanding.
