In his post, Robert talked about how it was the honor of his life to continue his dad's legacy. He was referring to Steve Irwin's conservation mission.
Fans will remember the late wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin, Robert’s father. The post featured Steve in a video clip talking about how he wanted his kids to carry forward his legacy. It also featured Robert and his sister's childhood moments. Steve could be seen feeding crocodiles and catching alligators in the video clip.

Dancing With The Stars' Robert Irwin shared an emotional post about his dad, Steve Irwin. With a heartfelt tribute to his dad in the caption, Robert wrote about continuing his dad's legacy. He mentioned that it was the honor of his life.
Robert wrote about making his dad proud, referencing the emotional video he shared in the post. It featured Steve Irwin answering his own question:
"Is there anything in this world that would want to make me give away what I'm doing now?"
He answered that there was. It was when his children would take over the "football" that he called wildlife conservation. He was talking about the time when his children would grow up and walk on the path he had taken.
"When my children can take the football that I call wildlife conservation and run it up," said Steve Irwin in the clip.
He noted that whenever his children would be ready to run his mission, he would "gladly" step aside.
With that, Steve noted that it would be the proudest moment of his life.
"When they're ready to run up our mission, I will gladly step aside. And I guarantee you, it'll be the proudest moment of my life. And my job will be done. Then, and only then, will I know that I have achieved my ultimate goal to be able to stand aside and let them run up my mission," added Steve.
The video clip featured various moments featuring Steve, his wife Terri, and, children Bindi and Robert. Photos from Robert's childhood were also included in the video clip.
Robert has been receiving quite the praise from the fans and appreciation from Dancing With The Stars' judges for his dancing skills.
