Netflix kicked off 2026 with a bang as Time Flies streamed entirely on the OTT streaming platform. The Argentine crime comedy series revolved around two women, Inés and Manca, who are trying to get their lives back on track by starting a fumigation business after being released from prison. But a new client threatens everything that Manca and Inés have built.

As of now, we don't know the future of the Argentine series, but the dark comedy series has struck a chord with fans across the world. A big part of the show's success is because of its talented cast. Therefore, it's fair that we learn more about the Time Flies cast.

Time Flies cast: Who stars in this acclaimed Argentine comedy series?

While Carla Peterson's Inés Lamas and Nancy Dupláa's Manca form the beating heart of the Argentine series, three women form Time Flies's cast. They are:

  1. Carla Peterson: Inés Lamas
  2. Nancy Dupláa: Mariana "La Manca" Suárez
  3. Valeria Lois: Susana Bonar

Part of the supporting cast includes:

  1. Osqui Guzmán: Rody
  2. Diego Velázquez: Ricardo "Ricky" Donato
  3. Julia Dorto: Laura "Lali" Pereyra
  4. Jimena Anganuzzi: Trinidad "Trini"
  5. Carlos Belloso as Dr. Ortiz

What is the Argentine series about?

Nicolás Diodovich and Gabriela Larralde are the screenwriters of the acclaimed series. It seems that they read author Claudia Piñeiro’s Tuya (2005) and El Tiempo de Las Moscas (2023), a continuation of Tuya. However, Larralde and Diodovich did something unique with the Netflix series. Instead of adapting one book for each season, they have combined both books into one season.

The central protagonist of the series, like in the novel, is a woman named Inés. In Tuya, she is a housewife in a crumbling marriage who discovers her husband's affair. The first book ultimately ends with Inés killing someone. El Tiempo de Las Moscas, which was published in 2023, follows Inés after her release from prison.

Now, the Netflix series majorly focuses on Inés after her release from prison, and the flashbacks adapt the key moments from Tuya. However, despite blending the two books, the basic plot of both books remains in the small screen adaptation of Time Flies. The Netflix show also retains the heartwarming friendship that Manca and Inés share in both versions of the story.

Manca reaches out to Inés after the latter's release, and they decide to start a fumigation service. As the trailer suggests, the two ex-convicts are doing fine until the mysterious Susana Bonar enters their lives. Susana wants Inés to buy poison to kill someone, and Manca tells her friend to avoid the new shady client altogether.

However, the trailer also suggests that the two friends might be forced to accept Susana's job offer. Apart from that, not much is known about the Argentine series.

"Fresh out of prison and low on options, two women run a fumigation business — until a shady client pulls them back into the life they fought to escape."

You can catch the entire Argentine series on Netflix. Watch it if you want a second season.
