Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House: Joanna and Chip welcome her sister and brother-in-law to their finished mountain house

The latest episode of Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House featured Joanna and Chip being excited about their first guests. They were Mikey and David, Joanna's sister and brother-in-law. Before the two arrived, Joanna and Chip talked about the big reveal. It was her sister's first visit to the mountain house after it was finished. Joanna said:

"They're going to be one of the first families that come to visit, so we thought it'd be fun to kind of show them the lay of the land. But I mean, we're crossing our fingers we get in before dark, because there's still a lot of work to happen in there."

Chip spoke of Joanna's ability to take on a project across the finish line that might appear impossible. Joanna noted that a part of her fed off that energy. The two eagerly waited for her sister's arrival.

After Mikey and David's arrival, they all went toward the house. Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House star Joanna told her sister that it felt like a magical fairy world. While Joanna and Mikey went inside the house, Chip took David by the river to take a look at the firepit.

Joanna opened up about the major changes they made to the house. They painted the exterior green and added a new front door. They also added wood shutters. They cleaned up the landscape and added a new plan. After entering the house, Joanna showed her sister the woodwork, including beautiful antique oak. Joanna shared:

"This fireplace we added, and I love this red rock just because it goes back to that (the second fireplace). They had two small windows, so we opened that up to bring in more natural light.....Imagine playing cards here, having coffee."

The two went to the kitchen next. When she told her sister that it used to be a living room, she was amazed. Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House star also highlighted the green tile, which they had hand-painted as per their desired shade. Joanna's sister said:

"There's nothing she can't do."

Joanna said that she wanted the mountain house to feel like a lodge and a cottage. She noted that the table gave a unique look. She mentioned that it was masculine, but also charming. Her sister said that she loved that style. The two then went into the space that was originally the kitchen. Joanna had turned it into a cozy reading space. Later, they went down by the river to see Chip and David.
