Tracker is losing two important cast members ahead of its third season. The show, starring Justin Hartley in the lead, only has a handful of series regulars, as Colter Shaw likes to be a lone wolf.
From the first season, Reenie Greene, Velma Bruin, and Bobby Exley have been a part of his small team who help him out with legal matters and technical skills. However, the show is saying goodbye to the latter two characters.
Abby McEnany and Eric Graise, who play Velma and Bobby, respectively, are leaving the show and will not be seen in Tracker Season 3. Hence, Justin Hartley and Fiona Rene, who plays Reenie, remain the only series regulars for the upcoming season.
Abby McEnany and Eric Graise exit Tracker ahead of Season 3
As per a report by TVLine, both Abby McEnany and Eric Graise have departed the show ahead of Season 3, making the Season 2 finale their last appearance on the show. The reason behind their exit has not been revealed yet, and it remains to be seen how the writers will explain Velma and Bobby’s absence from the story.
This is not the first time that the action drama has lost its main cast members. Earlier, after the first season, Robin Weigert, who starred as Colter's handler Teddi Bruin, also exited the series. Reenie Greene is now the only associate he has left, and considering the fact that Colter likes to work as a lone wolf, he might not be affected much by his friends’ absence from his life.
Abby and Eric have not commented on the development as of now. With their departure, the story will likely shift focus to Colter’s family dynamics, which already formed a major plot point in the previous seasons. The mystery surrounding the death of Colter’s father has haunted the lead for a while, and with his friends gone, we might get to see more appearances by his brother, Russell Shaw, played by Jensen Ackles.
Tracker has proven to be a major success for CBS ever since the series premiered in February 2024. The second season, which came out in October 2024, saw a further upward trend in the ratings, leading to a quick renewal of the show for a third season. With the main cast members’ farewell, it will be interesting to see if the show is able to retain its viewership in the upcoming chapter.
Tracker Season 3 will premiere on CBS on October 19, 2025. The series is based on Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game and has been developed by Ben H. Winters. Justin Hartley also serves as an executive producer on the project along with Winters, Elwood Reid, Sharon Lee Watson, and Ken Olin.
Tracker Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Paramount+.
