Tracker Season 3 Episode 1 recap: Colter and Russell get entangled in a criminal operation

In the premiere episode of Tracker Season 3, Colter finally finds out the truth about his father's death and how it connects with his mother. The truth affects him deeply, and he goes off the grid, only for his brother to come and take him out for a new case.

Reenie's client, Cal Rodgers, wants them to find his ex-wife and daughter. As they began tracking Cal's ex-wife down, they learn that her daughter was kidnapped and she was asked to do things like killing her boyfriend and stealing from his safe to get her daughter back.

As they save Cal's daughter, someone else pays the price and is killed by the illicit organisation, resulting in a threat to the Shaw brothers for disrupting the process.

Tracker Season 3 Episode 1 recap: Colter reveals the truth about their father to Russell

In the finale of Season 2, Colter finds out that Otto pushed Ashton Shaw off the cliff. In Episode 1 of Tracker Season 3, he reveals the truth to Colter. He tells him that his father's behaviour had changed drastically, and their mother wanted to leave with the kids.

However, Ashton tried to do everything to stop Mary from taking the kids, which resulted in Otto helping Mary and pushing Colter's father off the cliff. Colter needed time to grapple with the truth and went off grid. It was Russell who tracked him down for Reenie.

Colter apologised to him for believing his mother and thinking Russell killed their father, and revealed the truth to him. Russell told him he did not know about any of it but only that a man was there on the cliff, which might have been Otto. He then informs him about Reenie trying to call him about a case.

Tracker Season 3 Episode 1 recap: The Shaw brothers take on a new case

Reenie's client, Cal Rodgers, wanted them to track down his wife, Lisa, who took their daughter Haley with her in the premiere episode of Tracker Season 3. The first suspect becomes Lisa's boyfriend, Kurt, who was a conman.

Colter and Russell break into Lisa's house and find both her and Hailey's phones in the house, suggesting that something was wrong. They search the house and later find Kurt's body with his hand cut off.

Later, they went to Kurt's apartment, and after threatening a man, discovered the security footage that showed Lisa breaking into Kurt's apartment. She was an orthopedic surgeon and was the one who cut off his hand to open his safe and steal all of his money.

Colter had caught up with Lisa while tracking her down. However, he couldn't get her to speak as she was running off somewhere and was hit by a car.

Tracker Season 3 Episode 1 recap: Colter and Russell get entangled in an illicit operation

While Lisa was in the hospital in Episode 1 of Tracker Season 3, Colter finds her phone and sees a text message with instructions to get her daughter back. The brothers follow the direction and find a man named Octman. He was the one who kidnapped Hailey.

He tells them that these mysterious people have taken his sister and instructed him to kidnap Hailey to save her. However, Colter and Russell are too caught up in saving Hailey, and they do just that. Therefore, Octman is informed about his sister's death as he failed to complete the tasks, leaving Colter in guilt.

Colter was frustrated as they couldn't find out who the people were. However, at the end of the episode, he and his brother received a text from these people with a warning about the consequences of sabotaging their process by saving Hailey.
