Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2 recap: John tries to piece back his past, while Quiet leads the Dolls

Peacock's Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2 was a roller-coaster ride for John, who was finally reunited with Quiet and his long-lost sister, Krista. While John is still having bouts of amnesia, he awkwardly accepts Dollface's leader as his sister.

On the other hand, John's reunion with Quiet was unlike the one he anticipated. While he wants to escape with her to a remote cabin and lead a new and happy life, Quiet is now adamant about participating in Calypso's tournament and winning the prize money.

Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2 also featured a backstory about how Krista came to power and formed her Dollface group. As revealed in a flashback, while the women were relegated to the back, men called the shots and dominated them. This injustice did not sit right with Krista, and she led the women into a coup, where they gunned all the men down and usurped their power.

Following this incident, Krista became the leader of Dollface, a group of female killers on the loose.

Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2 recap: John learns important details about his past from Dollface

Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2 takes us back to the present, where John is now captured by Krista and all the other Dolls, after his confrontation with the group in Episode 1. He awakens in the Dollface camp and sees Quiet and Krista, following which the latter calls him by the name of Lionel.

While John faces trouble piecing back his past and still suffers from amnesia, Krista reveals that she is indeed his sister, as the previous episode hinted, and also calls him by his real name. John, who still does not recognise the woman claiming to be his sister, embraces Krista awkwardly, and the brother-sister duo have a reunion of sorts.

As Dollface shows her brother around the camp and fills him in about her group's mission and the preparations for the upcoming tournament, he accuses her of brainwashing Quiet and involving her in her killing schemes. However, Dollface claims that she has spent much more time with Quiet than John and certainly knows her better than him.

While John cannot ignore this harsh truth, he is still not on board with Dollface and suggests a competition with both Ashley and Quiet, which would determine who will drive on behalf of the Dolls.

Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2 recap: John has a bittersweet realisation and ultimately joins the Dolls

Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2 also featured an emotional reunion for John and Quiet, following which the former expresses his hidden feelings. John reveals how he longed to reunite on the road with Quiet (while in Raven's captivity) and suggests that they head off to a remote cabin together and stay there happily ever after.

However, Quiet has other plans. She believes that John should primarily piece back his forgotten memories and make up with his sister. She also reveals that she has now joined Dolls for good and aims to participate and win the tournament, following which she will tear off the city's walls.

Realising that Quiet has completely changed, John prepares to compete against her and Ashley in Twisted Metal Season 2 Episode 2. However, much to his surprise, Quiet emerges victorious and is chosen to lead the Dolls in the upcoming tournament.

The episode ends with John accepting Quiet's change and suggesting they partner up in the competition. The final moments show John and Quiet reuniting for good and planning to take a trip to Diesel City to stock up on weapons for the competition.
