Twisted Metal Season 2 has come to an end after 12 action-packed episodes. The new season was all about the titular tournament, where John and Quiet faced some unprecedented challenges, and Calypso made sure to give everyone a tough time.
Even after the tournament concluded, Calypso’s threat did not end, and John, Quiet, and Mayhem somehow managed to escape and survive. After the high-octane events of the finale, the season ended with a mid-credit and a post-credit scene.
These scenes revealed the actual fate of Sweet Tooth, who was initially thought to be dead. Meanwhile, they also introduced a character from the video game, but with a twist. Here are all the details you need about the Twisted Metal Season 2 post-credit scenes.
Twisted Metal Season 2 mid-credit scene confirms Sweet Tooth’s fate
Earlier in the finale of Twisted Metal Season 2, Sweet Tooth’s fate is left hanging in the balance. However, we soon get a mid-credits scene that confirms that the clown survived the horrific events. That being said, while he is alive, he has been beaten badly. He is chained to the back of a taxi and dragged through the streets.
When he asks where he is going, the driver says he is taking him to his father, Charlie Kane. This is in contrast to the video game lore, where Charlie is said to be the son of Sweet Tooth, aka Marcus Kane. The scene hints that Charlie supports Sweet Tooth’s violence and may want to use him for some dangerous plans.
Hence, the scene has introduced an important character from the games, but with a twist. Charlie is now expected to wreak havoc if Twisted Metal gets renewed for a third season.
Twisted Metal Season 2 post-credit scene features Dr. Zemu’s lab
A mid-credit scene is not the only surprise that the Twisted Metal Season 2 finale has in store for the audience. After all the credits are rolled, there comes another scene that takes the audience back to Dr. Zemu’s creepy lab. The lab features a message that reads ‘Human Axel Project’.
Meanwhile, a man is heard groaning in pain, and a giant rat is heard squeaking. There is also a shot of a bonfire and an empty hamster cage before the screen goes black. The scene ends without revealing any major details, which has left fans speculating. The revelation will likely be made in the potential third season.
While Peacock has not yet officially renewed the show, showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith has already planned to continue the story. He said in a recent interview with The Direct:
“I think when you watch the season full and you get to the final episode, I think it is extremely clear where season 3 goes. So I have a lot of plans for that. Obviously, I don't want to spoil anything. Like, season 3 is extremely clear. I have a lot of amazing, fun ideas for where that goes.”
All episodes of Twisted Metal Season 2 are streaming on Peacock.
