Tae-poong finally takes a big step in Typhoon Family's recent episode, as he comes to know about the promissory note and how crucial it is for the company. It won't just reveal how much money Pyo has to pay back, but it can also lead to his downfall, as his business also seems to be going down.
This goes back to episodes 1 and 2, when Tae-poong broke down after his family's death, and while everyone was mourning, Pyo was only worried about the note. He knew that the document could cause problems for him, so he started to desperately search for it.
And though Pyo was able to get it, Tae-poong didn't give up and tried to trick his father's old friend, who was actually a rival. The synopsis of episode 14 of Typhoon Family reads:
"After Tae-poong makes a deal with Pyo Bak-ho, Pyo Hyun-jun becomes furious. Meanwhile, Tae-poong and Mi-seon embark on a short getaway."

Typhoon Family episode 14 recap: Tae-poong tricks Pyo Bak-ho and makes a deal
Titled "Born in the Wind", episode 14 of Typhoon Family begins with a flashback revealing how Pyo Bak-ho was struggling as no businessman wanted to help him, and he was about to go bankrupt. However, it was Mr. Kang (Tae-poong's father) who helped him and gave him the money.
This way, Mr. Kang saved Pyo Bak-ho just a few hours before he could have gone bankrupt. And instead of being grateful, Pyo says he doesn't remember any such deal or a promissory note. But Tae-poong stands by his words and tells him that he does have the actual note and Pyo can have it back without spending any money.
All that Tae-poonga asked for was three million gloves. When Typhoon Trading sells those gloves and receives the money, the promissory note would be given back to the one who wrote it. Pyo finally agreed, but he insisted on keeping the terms exactly the way Tae-Poong’s father once set them.
He even writes out a fresh hand-written agreement. The main condition is simple on the surface: when Pyo returns the money, Tae-Poong must hand over the promissory note. But if he fails, Pyo wants something equally valuable.
As the Typhoon Family episode continues, Tae-poong ensures to keep Typhoon Trading and its employees safe from the deal, and puts his position at risk. Meanwhile, Seon-Taek and Mi-seon had a conversation, and Seon-Taek admitted that she’s the one who unintentionally tipped Hyun-Jun off about the fire.
Over at the port, Mi-Seon finally confronts Hyun-Jun and slaps him for nearly killing her. Since there wasn't any proof against him, she couldn't ensure his arrest. Seon-taek then gets scolded for not sharing her struggles with others.
Tae-Poong reminds her that she doesn’t carry the blame for what was done to his father. Later, Tae-Poong gifts Mi-Seon a phone, and the two spend some good time together.

Hyun-jun crossed the line and Tae-poong faces a corporate nightmare in Typhoon Family episode 14
The biggest twist in episode 14 of Typhoon Family comes when Hyun-jun storms into his father's office, furious over his recent deal with Tae-poong. Pyo Bak-ho then compares his son with Tae-poong, and this is when Hyun-jun does the unthinkable.
He hits his father, which leads to Pyo Bak-ho with a severe head injury. More shockingly, Hyun-jun isn't guilty of what he did, but plans to hide the body as fast as he can. He thought that killing his father would ultimately kill the promissory note, too.
When the scheduled meeting day arrives, Tae-Poong is confused and stressed because Pyo won’t answer any calls. Mi-Seon prepares a cashier’s check just in case, and the two head to the office.
When they enter the office, Hyun-ju can be seen sitting and signing deals with other businesses. He announces that he is the new CEO of the company. Furious but trying to protect himself, Tae-Poong scribbles his name, date, and exact time on the wall as proof he honored the deal, but Pyo wasn’t present.
What makes it even messier is that there’s no confirmation of Pyo’s death, no legal paperwork, and nobody yet understands what Hyun-Jun has really done.
A fun trip in the Typhoon Family episode 14
Tae-poong and Mi-seon's family goes on a trip to the sea in episode 14 of Typhoon Family, as Beom has been watching the show for a long time. So, everyone finally decides to go and enjoy each other's company.
However, Tae-poong's mother stays behind to look after Mi-seon's grandmother at home. While everyone else is having fun, Tae-Poong drifts into his own thoughts. Mi-seon teases him and asks him not to think about work.
The two then go for a hunt for clams, and while Mi-seon is able to fill her buckets, Tae-poong often ends up picking mustard. As they spent time together, Mi-seon and Tae-poong were able to reduce stress and get ready for work with full energy the next day.
