Upload Season 1 premiered in May 2020 on Amazon Prime Video, and the Greg Daniels-created science fiction series recently wrapped its four-season run on August 25, 2025.
The series is set in the near future (2033), where Upload Season 1 follows Nathan Brown, a 27-year-old who dies prematurely. During his final moments, he reluctantly accepts his girlfriend's wish to upload himself to one of Horizon's digital afterlives, Lakeview.
Upload explores themes of death and redemption through Nathan, who struggles to adapt to his new afterlife after he falls for his living customer executive, Nora. Nathan also meets and befriends a host of other dead residents at Lakeview, who make up the additional cast of this Prime Video series.
Here is the Upload Season 1 cast and character guide.
