9-1-1: Nashville is one of the most promising shows of the year. As the spin-off expands the already successful 9-1-1 franchise, there are high expectations for the procedural drama. Its setting in the musical city of Nashville has further piqued the audience’s interest.

Like the original series, the spin-off also revolves around the lives of first responders who put their lives in danger to save others. But at the same time, the show focuses on complicated family dynamics as the father and son duo of Captain Don Hart and Ryan Hart work together as firefighters.

9-1-1: Nashville is going to premiere on ABC on October 9, 2025. As for when you will be able to watch the first episode, it will be broadcast at 9 PM ET / PT, right after the premiere of 9-1-1 Season 9.


The release date and time of 9-1-1: Nashville Episode 1

9-1-1: Nashville will premiere on ABC on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 9 PM ET / PT. The show was initially scheduled to premiere on October 16, but ABC later pulled its release back by a week. The series will be broadcast right after 9-1-1 Season 9, which airs on Thursdays at 8 PM ET / PT.

For streaming, new episodes will be made available on Hulu a day after their television broadcast. Hence, you can stream the first episode on Hulu from Friday, October 10, 2025, by buying a subscription to the platform.


What to expect from the 9-1-1: Nashville premiere?

The show is going to focus on Captain Don Hart, a former cowboy and firefighter who leads the Nashville firehouse. He is accompanied by his son Ryan and other firefighters. However, he his harboring a secret that could destabilize his family life.

As per the synopsis of the pilot episode, the show is going to waste no time in stirring up drama as a tornado looms over the city and threatens to ruin a country music festival. The firefighters, led by Don, then have to go on a dangerous mission to rescue the concert-goers. Meanwhile, a secret about his part gets revealed, which leads to the fallout of the Hart family. The logline reads:

“When a powerful tornado tears through Nashville and endangers a country music festival, Capt. Don Hart leads fire station 113 on a harrowing rescue mission; the Hart family contends with the fallout when a long-held secret is revealed.”

9-1-1: Nashville stars Chris O'Donnell as Captain Don Hart and Michael Provost as Ryan Hart. Jessica Capshaw plays Don's wife, Blythe Hart; Hailey Kilgore stars as singer and firefighter Taylor Thompson; Kimberly Williams-Paisley portrays 911 dispatcher Cammie Raleigh; and Juani Feliz plays former trauma surgeon turned firefighter, Roxie Alba.

Additionally, Hunter McVey plays Blue Bennings, a firefighter with complicated ties to the Hart family, and LeAnn Rimes stars as his mother, Dixie Bennings, who shares a past with Don. The series has been created by Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani.
