Prime Video's Maxton Hall Season 2 left the viewers on a cliffhanger. It ended on a heartbreaking note. A photograph scandal in Maxton Hall ruined everything. Principal Lexington received a photo of Ruby Hall and Professor Graham Sutton together. Turns out, it was a manipulated one, and they were just chatting. As a result of the scandal, Ruby's Oxford dreams were shattered, and she was suspended. Meanwhile, Lydia was devastated after Professor Sutton was taken by the cops for an alleged illicit professor-student relationship. Elsewhere, Lydia and James were shocked to learn that Cordelia's will had left everything to their father, Mortimer. This eventually ruined their already fragile family bond.

Maxton Hall Season 3 will delve into these plotlines. Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, it was renewed for Season 3 in June 2025. It will be based on the third book of Mona Kasten's trilogy, Save Us.

With a steady buzz all over social media, the craze for the German young adult dramas has managed to draw a global audience. And now the fans are eagerly waiting for Season 3. Turns out the wait won't be that long. Maxton Hall Season 3 is eying for 2026 release.

Maxton Hall Season 3 release date

As of now, there are no official updates about the release date for Season 3. However, as per speculations, it is set to release in 2026. Season 1 dropped in May 2024 and Season 2 aired in November 2025. Since there's a gap of a year or so between the release dates for the two seasons, Maxton Hall Season 3 will likely drop in 2026.

On June 9, 2025, Prime Video dropped a short reel featuring the lead cast of the series, Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten. In the video, Harriet shows a glimpse of what looks like the Maxton Hall Season 3 scripts as she utters,

"Damian, you won't believe what just arrived. It's here. Finally, we can share the news. Maxton Hall is coming back for Season 3."

While Damien replies,

"Season 3. On last time back to school."

Season 3 will be the last and final season for the hit series. There's no spin-off announced yet. As per reports, filming for Season 3 has wrapped up, and since it's a continuation, most of the scenes will be shot in a castle near Hanover that served as a pivotal location for the series. In an interview with Deadline, Christopher Scneider, Prime Video's official, noted,

"Everyone was really great, and that made this a unicorn show. The good news is we have three seasons."

Season 3 needs to address several loose ends, including what happens to Ruby's Oxford dreams? Do James and Ruby end up together? Can James and Lydia confront their father? What's next for Lydia and Professor Sutton? And finally, who's the culprit behind the photograph scandal?
