Peacemaker Season 2 is just two weeks away. The acclaimed DCU series promises a wilder and irreverent season than the first one. As Superman is performing well, the hype for the upcoming season of Peacemaker is as high as ever. Considering that Season 2 of Peacemaker and Superman are set in the same universe, many are wondering if they will share the same cast and characters.
It turns out that these two DCU projects will be sharing not just one, but six characters. These six characters, previously appeared in Creature Commandos or Superman, will have a role to play in Peacemaker Season 2, which is set to stream on HBO Max in less than 20 days.

- John Cena (Peacemaker)
One of Superman's most surprising moments was in the second act, as we see John Cena's Peacemaker/Christopher Smith appear in a late-night show hosted by Michael Ian Black's Cleavis Thornwaite.
- Frank Grillo (Rick Flag Sr.)
Introduced in Creature Commandos, Frank Gillo's Rick Flag Sr. is revealed to be Joel Kinnaman's Rick Flag Jr., who was introduced in 2016's Suicide Squad and reprised his role in 2021's The Suicide Squad. However, Kinnaman's Rick Flag Jr. is murdered by Christopher Smith in the last act of the 2021 movie. Now, Grillo's Rick Flag Sr. is set to be the central antagonist of Peacemaker Season 2.
Flag Sr. is going to use his A.R.G.U.S. resources to hunt down the man who murdered his son.
- Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl)
Hawkgirl was one of Superman's central protagonists who even helped out Man of Steel in the movie's final act. Now, as the teaser trailer of the second season revealed that Peacemaker wants to join the Justice Gang, which includes her, Guy Gardner, and Maxwell Lord.
- Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner)
Nathan Fillion won fans over with his turn as Guy Gardner in Superman. Now, he is set to reprise his role in Peacemaker Season 2. The Rookie actor teased Gardner and Peacemaker's strained relationship in a May 2025 TVLine interview:
"Yeah, it’s clear from their relationship that the two of them do not get along. Not a fan of each other. I wouldn’t call them both A-listers by any means, but I think they both consider themselves — maybe in their hearts — they should be A-listers. I think they have a lot to prove. I think they’ve got chips on their shoulders. And I think it’s just a powder keg when they get together."
- Sean Gunn (Maxwell Lord)
Sean Gunn's Maxwell Lord, much like his comic book counterpart, is a billionaire who is trusted by the heroes. However, it remains to be seen if the upcoming HBO Max series will adapt his character's shocking turn, or even hint at it.
- Michael Ian Black (Cleavis Thornwaite)
Michael Ian Black's Cleavis Thornwaite has two small scenes in Superman as he discusses the Man of Steel's intentions with both Lex Luthor and Christopher Smith. Now, it seems that Thornwaite is set to return in the HBO Max series.
