The Morning Show Season 3 introduced a major antagonist in the form of Paul Marks. The Apple TV+ series revolves around the anchors and crew of a morning news program, who deal with various challenges to ensure the smooth functioning of the company.
Paul joins the story as a billionaire and the love interest of Alex. However, while he loves Alex, he goes behind her back and tries to take over her network, UBA, while also spying on her phone.
He is one of the most layered characters on the show, which makes one wonder who plays Paul Marks on The Morning Show. The role is played by acclaimed actor Jon Hamm, who has won several accolades for his acting chops.

What Jon Hamm said about his character in The Morning Show
Jon Hamm talked about the grey shade of his The Morning Show character in an interview with Variety in 2024. He stated that while preparing for the role, he did not think of Paul as a bad guy, and only thought of him as someone who wanted both Alex and the company. He said:
“It’s just that he wants two things that can exist in the same place. I was thinking about him like, what if he’s not a bad guy? He wants the girl, and he wants the gig; he wants both of the things. He wants to have his cake and eat it too, and therefore there’s probably going to be collateral damage.”
Apart from Hamm, The Morning Show stars Jennifer Aniston as Alexandra "Alex" Levy, Reese Witherspoon as Bradley Jackson, Karen Pittman as Mia Jordan, Mark Duplass as Charlie "Chip" Black, Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison, and Nicole Beharie as Christine Hunter.
