Speculations explored View this post on Instagram Instagram PostNetflix's Pro Bono begins with David being involved in a bribery scandal that forces him to resign and also lose an opportunity to become a Supreme Court judge, which was his dream job. After resigning, he is called to join one of the biggest law firms, Oh&Partners, by its new CEO, Jung-in, his ex-girlfriend.However, she does not give him a big position and makes him join the pro bono team, whose office is situated in teh basement. While he does not like being part of a team that works for free, he makes a deal with Jung-in that if he brings the team's success rate to 70%, she will help him in becoming a Supreme Court judge. He begins working with the team as they solve various types of cases, from fighting to keep a dog with her present owner to fighting for the rights of an idol who had been suffering due to her mother's greed. As the days go by, David becomes an essential part of the team as the leader and gradually transforms into an empathetic human being from a materialistic one. But, his problems again escalate when his own team fights a case against him for using his power to manipulate a trial when he was a judge. However, they eventually learn that he never used his power to manipulate any of his cases and again reunite to fight with him against powerful people who control the legal world. After winning all of their cases and shaking up the legal world, David decides to resign from Oh&Partners and open his own law firm with his team, and help the needy. The K-drama ended on a happy note for the team as they chose to help people in the end, with David included, leaving no room for a sequel.Furthermore, there are also no official reports suggesting that Pro Bono would return with a Season 2 yet. While the show tied everyone's story perfectly at the end, a new season could still have more to present as the team fights more new and unusual cases. It can also explore the new animosity between Jung-in and David as they parted ways due to Jung-in supporting corporations over victims. However, these are only speculations, as the legal K-drama has not yet been renewed for a season 2.Keep reading Soap Central for more such updates. Also Read: Pro Bono Episode 12 recap: David flips the defamation case in his favour
