Will we get a second season of The Rainmaker? Possible storylines shared by Creator Michael Sietzman
In The Rainmaker Season 1, Rudy had a difficult path from the beginning. He was fired from his job on the first day and had to join Bruiser's firm, where he wasn't paid enough. However, he didn't much care about it when he set his path to bring justice to Daot Black's case and put the man who killed her son behind bars.
But this path also had many challenges as he had to go against the firm that fired him and also Sarah, his ex-girlfriend, who still worked in the firm. Since the other party was wealthy and powerful, they tried to sabotage the case at every chance they got. However, with the help of people around him, Rudy collected evidence and witnesses, even brought the serial killer on the stand to reveal the truth in front of the jury.
Since Season 1 ended on a hopeful note, viewers want to see the ragtag team of Rudy, Bruise, and Deck bring down other rich people for their crimes against the vulnerable. While the show hasn't been renewed for another season, the creator, Michael Sietzman, shared that he has been thinking about narratives for The Rainmaker Season 2. He shared with TV Insider that he hasn't been able to decide whether he should bring back characters from Season 1 or brand new characters for a brand new season.
One of the storylines he thought about is to bring back new characters and only the characters who were not 'in trouble' in Season 1. He shared:
"There’s a part of me that wonders if we just completely wipe the slate clean in Season 2, and the characters who are not in trouble come back, and the other characters who were in trouble, we treat that as backstory."
Another storyline that he has thought about for The Rainmaker Season 2 is how to bring back the characters in a new season. He further shared that he loves the actors and the characters that they played, making it harder to let them go for him.
Therefore, we have to wait to find out more about what the narratives will be for Season 2 while waiting for the network to renew the legal drama.
