Wednesday Season 2 debuted its first four episodes on August 6, 2025, on Netflix, and subsequently the second part, comprising the remaining four episodes, were released on September 3, 2025. This season delivered a curveball that immediately turned into a headline: Wednesday Addams, our favorite goth hero, was briefly turned into a werewolf.

The series still balanced gothic moods and supernatural abilities and the already stormy teenage lifestyle, and this furry transformation only intensified the chaos.

Wednesday Season 2, Episode 1, Here We Woe Again, begins with Wednesday walking back to Nevermore Academy at the beginning of a new semester as deadpan as ever. The newcomers include Agnes DeMille, a student who seemingly can vanish anywhere and instantly turns into Wednesday’s shadowy sidekick.

At the same time, Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility has been up to its regular mischief with the LOIS (Long-term Outcast Integration Study) program, imprisoning and testing outcasts such as Tyler the Hyde of Season 1. Tyler’s mother, Francoise, and his uncle, Isaac Night, turn out to be complete power-hungry villains attempting to capitalise on the talents of outcasts.

Soon, the situation goes out of control, and Uncle Fester comes in to assist Wednesday in sneaking into Willow Hill. Tyler becomes full Hyde, attacks Wednesday, and puts her into a coma. In the meantime, Isaac Night continues to toy with science-bendy machines to heal Francoise and kidnaps Agnes.

Wednesday appears at Nevermore again at the Founder’s Pyre, in Wednesday Season 2 Episode 6, Woe Thyself. The ritual triggers an accidental body swap between Wednesday and her best friend, Enid. The girls are threatened: 24 hours to undo it, or it becomes permanent and can lead to death.

Now we get to watch them stumble hilariously through each other’s lives. Wednesday-in-Enid’s-body must deal with werewolf arc, and Enid-in-Wednesday’s-body with Wednesday’s snarky brilliance. They both find the strengths, weaknesses, and even frightening habits of each other.

On one hand, Agnes disappears, and at the same time, Miss Capri, the werewolf music teacher, reveals that Enid is an Alpha werewolf. She is capable of transforming whenever she pleases, and this is seemingly a blessing and a curse. To control her powers, Capri tells her to hide in the Lupin Cage. But lo and behold, body swap complications will follow.

Isaac, Francoise, and Tyler go to Willow Hill, where Isaac intends to “fix” Francoise’s Hyde self with an experimental machine. Agnes, with her invisibility abilities, is tailing them to keep track of their activities and report them to Wednesday. Enid, who is in Wednesday’s body, lets the real Wednesday out of the Lupin Cage. Wednesday is concerned about saving Agnes, which further complicates the stakes in the ongoing conflicts.

Isaac activates the experimental machine through a magic ball, but it malfunctions. The girls step in and engage Tyler, who, in turn, adopts his Hyde persona completely. Wednesday-as-Enid becomes a werewolf in the middle of the battle, and ends up confined in a cell by Tyler. Agnes remotely controls the machine, and Wednesday-as-Enid uses her Alpha powers to get free. Tyler proceeds to attack her, but is intercepted by Francoise, and the girls flee as the experimental machine malfunctions and collapses.

Resolution and body swap reversal

The girls go back to Rotwood grave after the Willow Hill disaster to reverse the swap. They address each other’s vulnerabilities, express emotions, and understand that perhaps, after all, they were not that different. Wednesday and Enid eventually switch, just in time to avoid the prophecy of Enid’s death. The crisis was avoided; however, Wednesday receives another vision right away. A member of the Addams family is doomed.

The body swap concludes with Enid-in-Wednesday rescuing real Wednesday out of the Lupin Cage and the girls succeeding in evading the villainy of Isaac and Tyler. Wednesday returns to her own body just in time, but the Skull Tree is still there, as a reminder of why life at Nevermore is never chill.
