Tension rises again between former couple Emma and Harry in the upcoming episode of Love Island UK, airing Thursday, July 17. The teaser shows them slipping back into flirtation. During their chat, Harry asks Emma:

“Would you have gone to the Hideaway with me last night?”

Emma quickly shuts him down, accusing him of trying to create drama:

“You’re getting bored and you’re looking to stir the pot.”

Their exchange suggests lingering feelings—and casts doubt on Harry’s connection with Helena. While the pair have insisted they’re not rekindling their romance, their recent conversations suggest otherwise.

The upcoming episode on ITV2 is expected to further explore the dynamics between Emma and Harry. They continue navigating their connection inside the Love Island UK villa.

Emma and Harry reignite old sparks in the upcoming episode of Love Island UK

On Love Island UK Season 11 Episode 39, airing July 17, Emma and Harry sit down for another private chat. Their conversation quickly turns flirtatious when Harry asks if she would have joined him in the Hideaway the previous night.

Emma doesn’t hold back, telling him that he’s just getting bored and trying to create drama. As their talk continues, Emma hints at a possible future between them, saying, “I think people would love to see…” prompting Harry to catch on and reply, “Play ball.” She also shares her concerns about Harry’s current relationship with Helena, telling him:

“I don’t think people see you and her as the real deal… no one really sees you as end game or that you’re going to work on the outside… Everyone thinks you’ve taken the path of least resistance because perhaps you don’t feel like you can step up to the ones you really want.”

Harry responds to Emma with a mix of nostalgia and honesty. He admits that no one compares to her and that he’ll always have love for her because of their long history. But he also questions the situation, wondering aloud if they really ended up on Love Island just to rekindle their past relationship.

While Emma joined Love Island UK as part of the Casa Amor twist, she has repeatedly stated she did not come on the show to reunite with Harry. However, her shifting tone and openness to conversation have reignited speculation about where their relationship stands.

Harry and Emma’s history explored

Emma previously addressed their breakup in an earlier episode of Love Island UK, expressing her frustration with Harry over their past. During one intense conversation, she told him:

“The fact of the matter is, you’ve brought girls into our home, and I wouldn’t do that to you, because that was the rules, and you think the rules don’t apply to you. It’s my house, Harry. You think as soon as there’s a boundary in place, cross it? You think, ‘Oh yes, let me just f*** this up’, like there’s just no need for any other woman to be in my house.”

Despite her earlier stance, Emma’s feelings toward Harry seem to soften following her breakup with Conor. While speaking with Andrada, Emma reflected on Harry’s emotional state, observing that he didn’t seem truly content in his current situation.

She acknowledged the depth of their bond, but also the reality that they’re not compatible. She added:

“I don’t think there’s any point in trying again… but I think it’s hard for him when I’m here. He can compare. He’s seeing how this one behaves and this one behaves, and then there’s me and we were supposed to be endgame.”
