The Duprees are not short of scandalous material, and there seems always to be another waiting in the wings to come out. With Martin's nightmares resurfacing and getting worse, will Martin figure out what they mean and refer to? In Wednesday's episode, The Duprees rally around old dreams and new truths. Putting a brave face on it all is what the Duprees do; as they remind us, Duprees don't run or hide.

Second chances and new beginnings

Eva has been told three times now that her mother, Leslie, doesn't appreciate the betrayal she received at the country club the night of the anniversary party, and that she wants less than nothing to do with her daughter. Eva was told to go have a life with the parent she chose and give Leslie not another thought. Eva was heartbroken, again, and returned to the country club to find Ted and tell him that he was the only one still talking to her or would accept her. In Wednesday’s episode, Eva walks into the lion’s den hoping for a second chance. Will she reach out to her mother? Or risk dealing with Nicole and the Duprees?

Forbidden fruit tastes better

Dani (Karla Mosley) has made use of this distraction to stay off her recent path of self-destruction, and she has been on a mission to make sure everyone who took part in her sister's awful night and broken heart hears all about it from her. In Wednesday's episode, Dani takes time out of her vendetta to choose some self-indulgence. Dani reignites a forbidden flame, and forbidden flames, as we know, burn hot, but do they burn bright and long? Hopefully, Dani doesn't get burned here.

Kat (Colby Muhammed) was onto Eva right at the beginning, and nothing sat right about her. Having been proved to be right in her thoughts, she trusts her gut once more, and in Wednesday's episode, Kat quietly prepares for war, refusing to let Eva claim a place in the family. But is Kat being led down the wrong path? Is Eva as bad as she thinks she is? Kat continues to seek the truth and keep Eva away from her family.
