On The Young and the Restless, Audra and Kyle crossed a line we’ve seen them inching towards for weeks. But is it enough for either of them to follow through?
Audra and Kyle on The Young and the Restless

Today on The Young and the Restless, did Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) go too far, or not far enough? Maybe, but just maybe, Audra was acting today when she used Damian’s murder as a ploy to get an in with Kyle. But was she acting, or was Audra being vulnerable?
Let’s be clear: Audra is possibly one of the most cunning women that Genoa City has ever met. But since meeting Nate (Sean Dominic), she has found herself dealing with emotions she’s never brought to the surface. Nate taught his girlfriend that it was okay to have emotions, to feel hurt, to be worried, and share those feelings without appearing weak.
When Damian (Jermaine Rivers) was murdered, Audra was (and should have been) rattled. He was her boyfriend’s newly discovered and recently bonded half-brother. Not only that, but Audra has become particularly close with Damian’s mom, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford), who has been battling cancer for months. Audra believed that the reason Amy found the will to live was because of having Damian back in her life. But now all of that was gone.
Upset, Audra turned to Kyle — the only person at the Dumas estate whom she thought she could count on in a moment of vulnerability. But was it? Or was it an act so that Audra could implement her plan with Victor?
Audra’s reason for being there

Victor (Eric Braeden) had given Audra some start-up money for her new company, Vibrante, with a promise of more if she broke up Kyle and Claire (Hayley Erin). The only reason Audra even received an invitation to the party in France was that Victor wanted her to fulfill her end of the deal sooner rather than later.
Kyle and Audra have a history, and the woman he knows intimately does not exude vulnerability. It was easy to see why he would have a hard time believing Audra cared about anyone but herself, and found it amusing that she tried to seduce him…after a long makeout session and heavy petting, mind you.
While we don’t think that Audra is falling for Kyle, we’re going to cut her a little bit of slack since Damian was murdered. Is she that cold-blooded to use his death as a means to get to Kyle? We don’t want to believe it, but this is Audra.
What is more likely is that she probably would have gotten Kyle to completely commit to the moment had she known about a minor detail: Kyle has signed a contract with Victor that if he cheats on Claire, he pays him $5 million, and leaves town.
There was no way Kyle was going to lose out on that contract so quickly — the ink is barely dry. But with a bit more effort and maybe some timely tears, he may start to see a softer side to Audra, and then she can move in for the kill.
The way we see it, though, the only one winning from this situation is Victor. If (when?) Kyle cheats, Victor can use his $5 million to follow through with his agreement to Audra, and that will be the rest of her start-up funds. It won’t cost Victor a thing for this to work out…except his relationship with Claire, perhaps.
