On The Young and the Restless, no one knows music better than Devon Hamilton. And now, he’s going to bring his talents to Fairmont Crest.
A crossover event for The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless’ Devon Hamilton, played by Bryton James, is leaving Genoa City — and headed to Fairmont Crest! In the first crossover since Danny (Michael Damian) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) visited the Forresters in Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful last year (and Christine returned for the Forrester fashion show in April), Devon Hamilton is going to be heading to Beyond the Gates.
On Y&R, Devon Hamilton is a music producer and record label owner under the umbrella of his family’s company, Hamilton-Winters. In a scene shared by Beyond the Gates star, Tamara Tunie, he is greeted by her character, Anita Dupree, as well as her husband, Vernon (Clifton Davis) at the Fairmont Crest Country Club. “Welcome to Fairmont Crest,” Anita exclaims at Devon as he strides in with a smile.
Chances are good Devon is there to discuss a record deal with Anita’s newly reformed band, The Articulettes. The three singers in the group, Anita, Tracy (Maria Howell), and Sharon (Bonita Brisker), had a rocky road to reuniting. There was a grudge and bad blood for decades, and they are just about to have their reunion concert this week.
As for Devon, he just returned from the French Riviera, where there was nothing but drama and tragedy. After being present for the big reveal that Aristotle Dumas was actually his ex-brother-in-law, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Devon was less than pleased with the company he was keeping and was anxious to get back home.
He must also be motivated to get back to work. Maybe he’ll be offering The Articulettes a new record contract.
Beyond the Gates

CBS’ newest soap took off this year when it premiered on February 24th. Since its debut, Beyond the Gates has seen a 48% increase in broadcast viewership during the time period and will celebrate its 100th episode on Tuesday, July 29th.
Within its first three months, the show was already renewed for two more years — a huge accomplishment! CBS has been dominating the ratings for most of the year, with sister shows The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful taking first and second slots, and Beyond the Gates joining in the top three several times so far.
Watch The Young and the Restless and Beyond the Gates weekdays on CBS.
