The Young and the Restless knows how to roll out a mystery and deliver a payoff! First, we were thrown when Martin (Christopher Cousins) turned out to be Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis's (Michelle Stafford) captor. Now, we're on pins and needles waiting to learn the identity of the enigmatic Aristotle Dumas! Just who is this mysterious figure?
Who is Aristotle Dumas on The Young and the Restless

There are many theories as to who Aristotle is, given the bits of information that leaked out about the man. Many believe him to be the character that Billy Flynn (Chad, Days of our Lives) has been hired to play. It's been revealed that Flynn is set to make his debut on Y&R the week of June 16th. That coincides with the big gala that Dumas is throwing. But perhaps Flynn is playing someone else, and Dumas is someone we already know!
Tinker Tucker Soldier Spy

We learned a bit more about Dumas when his attorney, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), came to Genoa City and revealed to Devon (Bryton James) that Dumas meant no harm to Winters. If Amanda is to be believed, and, as she not-so-subtly points out, her track record regarding honesty and betrayal is better than Devon's (ouch), then Dumas very well could be Tucker (last played by Trevor St. John), who is Devon's biological dad.
However, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Victor (Eric Braeden) hashed out on a recent episode of The Young and the Restless the possible Tucker/Dumas and, as Chelsea conceded, it would be difficult to throw a soiree in Nice if you're languishing in a prison in India.
Still, maybe Victor was the one who was lying to Chelsea. The two engaged in a game of cat and mouse at Crimson Lights. Maybe Victor was trying to throw Chelsea off the trail? Three actors have played Tucker — William Russ (ex-Burt, Another World), Stephen Nichols (Steve, Days of our Lives), and Trevor St. John (ex-Victor, One Life to Live). Might a fourth actor be stepping into the part of Katherine's (Jeanne Cooper) son?
The Cane mutiny

Another theory is that Aristotle is Cane Ashby, Lily's ex-husband, who came up during a conversation between Lily and Damian (Jermaine Rivers). However, Cane's portrayer, Daniel Goddard, is currently appearing as Dr. Henry Dalton on General Hospital. Goddard wouldn't be the first actor to do double-duty on soaps. Might Goddard also take on two roles at the same time? Whether Goddard is coming back or not, many believe that Aristotle is Cane.
The Feminine touch

Who says Aristotle is a man? If the name is fake, perhaps the person using it is a female. Not only are The Young and the Restless's Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) and also, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) all jetting off to Europe for pleasure as well as business, but Ashley (Eileen Davidson) recently told Jack that she was going back to Paris. Was that a red herring or a clue?
Let's not forget about Mamie (Veronica Redd). Her last visits to Genoa City have revealed that the former Abbott housekeeper has a savvy business side. Mamie certainly doesn't want to harm her great-niece Lily, or Devon or Nate, her great-nephews. She could be Dumas.
What about Jill (Jess Walton)? She certainly has the business acumen to be the mastermind behind Dumas's operation. She knows all the players. Walton is a fan favorite and viewers would love to see her back on the Y&R story canvas.
Only one of these people can be the mysterious Aristotle. Unless, of course, Y&R reveals that Aristotle Dumas is a collection of individuals. Stay tuned to find out!
