The Young and the Restless star Lucas Adams is spending time in a Los Angeles hospital as Noah recovers from his car "accident." In the future, he'll likely be visiting a hospital again with his wife, Shelby Wulfert, when the couple checks in for a very happy occasion!

The Young and the Restless, baby news

"We could not be more excited about this news ✨," Adams and his wife, Shelby Wulfert, shared in a joint Instagram post. The post includes photos, Shelby, clearly expecting a baby, and holding a sonogram.

There's no word yet on a due date or what the baby's gender is, but the couple did share beautiful photos of them taken by @sophiaaluz walking along the beach and holding a sonogram.

Adams's pals from Days of our Lives, where he played Tripp, are weighing in with well-wishes. "Future hall of famer," wrote Dan Feuerriegel (EJ). Elia Cantu (Jada) posted, "So happy for you both! Congratulations!" Added Martha Madison (Belle): "Soooo happy for your two!"

Eric Martsolf (Brady) expressed his joy with three red heart emojis. Added Brandon Barash (ex-Stefan): "Yes! I'm ecstatic for you guys. Get ready for the ride of your lives. Nothing like it."

On-screen, Noah is going on a different kind of ride. Viewers were reintroduced to the character after he'd been in a car accident in Los Angeles, and it was soon revealed that the incident may not have been an accident.

The plot has thickened as it's been revealed that Noah is in a romantic relationship with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun, who played Ava, Adams's TV mom on DAYS). Nick (Joshua Morrow), Noah's dad, caught his son locking lips with the mysterious woman and is demanding answers.

Meanwhile, Sharon (Sharon Case), Noah's mom, has ripped into Matt Clark (AKA Mitch), played by Roger Howarth. Matt has kept secret from Sienna his past with Nick and Sharon. But now, Sienna is on to her husband. She's demanding answers. How will Matt react to finding out that Noah and his wife have a relationship that most husbands wouldn't approve of?
