The Young and the Restless star Sean Carrigan is a new dad

Sean Carrigan dealt with some baby issues the last time he was on The Young and the Restless as Stitch, as he kidnapped a pregnant Mariah! Now, the actor has baby news of his own to share!

The Young and the Restless, father's daze

According to PEOPLE, Carrigan and his fiancée Jazmin Tempske have welcomed their baby girl into the world. The bundle of joy entered the world on Monday, August 25, which happens to be the birthday of Carrigan's Y&R pal, Christian LeBlanc (Michael)!

Carrigan and Tempske's daughter is named Susan Maxine Carrigan. "Both mom and baby are happy and healthy, and the family is soaking in every special moment," the couple shared.

Carrigan shared he was going to become a dad earlier this year. While we know Susan Maxine's name, her parents have yet to reveal additional details like the time of day she was born, her height, and her weight.

A Stitch in time

Carrigan made his Y&R debut in 2013 as Dr. Ben "Stitch" Rayburn, a military buddy of Dylan's (Jason Thompson). Stitch was romantically involved with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson), but his longest commitment was with Abby (Melissa Ordway), whom he married.

During his time in Genoa City, viewers learned that Ben (AKA Stitch) and his sister Kelly (Cynthia Watros; Cady McClain) grew up with an alcoholic and abusive father. Stitch served time in jail after his and Kelly's dad died in a fire. Later, it came out that Stitch and Kelly's mother, Maureen (Meredith Baxter), was responsible. Stitch took the fall for his mother.

While in med school, Stitch met and married Jenna Kieran (Stephanie Lemelin). They had a son named Max (Jared Breeze). The couple split, and Jenna moved to Australia with Max. After Jenna died, Max came to live with Stitch and Abby in Genoa City. Max, feeling threatened by the baby Abby and Stitch were expecting, caused Abby to have a miscarriage.

After his marriage to Abby ended, Stitch left town, and he hasn't been back to The Young and the Restless since. He returned a few years later, dealing with some psychological issues. Stitch kidnapped a pregnant Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and kept her captive. The truth came out, but Stitch went on the run with Max, who was suffering from some medical issues, before he could be turned in to the police.
