Stacy Haiduk returning to Y&R

Stacy Haiduk will reprise her role as Patty Williams next month, and what sort of trouble Patty finds herself in this time is anyone's guess. Haiduk last appeared on The Young and the Restless in 2012.

Life in Genoa City is about to get a little crazier. Stacy Haiduk will reprise her role as Patty Williams.

A spokesperson for The Young and the Restless confirms that Haiduk will reprise the role of Paul's criminally insane sister.

It's been three years since Haiduk last appeared on the top-rated CBS soap. She began playing Patty in 2009.

What's on tap for Patty this time around? If it's anything like her last go-round, it should definitely be interesting.

"Let me put it this way, I think if someone were to tell me ten years ago that I would be working with a dead cat, I would have said, 'You're crazy,'" Haiduk told Soap Central in 2009. From all the stuff that I have done in my career, which is playing business women and cops and prison breaks... I had no idea this was coming, and I read it in my script and I was like, "Oh, my God. This is insane."

There's no word if Mr. Kitty has been asked to reprise his role.

Prior to joining Y&R, Haiduk also played All My Children's Hannah Nichols.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Haiduk will report to the Y&R studio next week and will first air in September. There's no word yet on how long Haiduk will be sticking around.

What do you think Patty will get into this time? Would the character be more or less interesting if her mental health issues were under control? Share your thoughts in the Comments section below, on our message boards, or by submitting Feedback.
