The Young and the Restless Best of the Week saw the return of an old favorite, a "bad" girl trying to make good with the man she loves, and more!

Welcome to the Best of the Week for The Young and the Restless, where we highlight some of the week's standout moments, scenes, notables, quotables, fashion, and more!

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Moments

Location is everything! That's what came to mind when we saw Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) show up at the Abbott mansion to visit Jack (Peter Bergman). Victor's been coy as to whether or not he'll fully commit to an alliance with his longtime rival. However, his presence at the Abbott home indicates he's willing to consider it. But no comment on Diane's (Susan Walters) redo of the manse! Victor, how could you?

Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) knows something about deception and machinations. She also knows her husband, Michael (Christian LeBlanc), quite well. Lauren pressed Michael until he gave in and confessed that yes, he was back in Victor's orbit!

Forget about powder rooms! Society is the place where showdowns are taking place in Genoa City. The quaint hotspot isn't as big as the restaurant at the Genoa City Athletic Club is so it's easier for folks like Diane to overhear things like Claire (Hayley Erin) saying that she and Kyle (Michael Mealor) had split.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Scenes

Right or wrong, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) thinks that his mother, Jill (Jess Walton), favors surrogate son Cane (Billy Flynn) over him. While he doesn't agree with his mom's business decisions, Billy knows that his mother would not approve of Cane using AI software to ruin the lives of many people, including the Abbotts. Jill still cares about the Abbott clan. It was quite entertaining watching Billy gleefully reveal Cane's plan to Jill.

We're praising Zuleyka Silver for her performances as Audra. She quips with Kyle and anyone else who dares to foolishly challenge her with incredible ease. Audra could teach a class in verbally dismantling an opponent's arguments. She's just that good.

Silver also delivered very emotional, dramatic scenes as Audra begged Nate (Sean Dominic) for another chance. The answer, alas for Audra, is no, for now, but that doesn't mean all hope is lost. In fact, Amy's (Valarie Pettiford) pep talk to Nate just might get him to reconsider.

Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott's (Michael Mealor) showdown in Chancellor Park was powerful! Claire probably wouldn't like it if Kyle were going off to another city where he'd plan to meet up with another woman, so it's a bit confusing as to why she can't see where Kyle is coming from regarding her trip to Los Angeles with Holden (Nathan Owens). We're hoping Kyle and Claire make up down the line, but these two sure are entertaining when they're arguing.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has always liked Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), but now, she truly must know that Tessa deeply loves her daughter, Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Tessa showed just how much she cares when she impressed upon Sharon that she was going to get to the bottom of what happened with Mariah that led to her walking away from their relationship.

NOTABLES

Here's our weekly plug to request the return of the Chancellor Mansion. Wouldn't it be great if Danny (Michael Damian) and Cricket (Lauralee Bell) got married there?

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon are talking about going to Los Angeles to visit Noah (Lucas Adams). Meanwhile, Claire is talking, well, arguing with Kyle about visiting the Hollywood area at the same time Holden will be there. Will these two stories intersect?

Speaking of Holden, what secret does he share with Audra from their time in Los Angeles?

At this risk of repeating ourselves, Audra and Nate's emotional scenes in Chancellor Park were top-notch. The best part is, beyond Audra mentioning that she conspired with Victor so he'd fund Vibrante, the drama between Nate and Audra had nothing to do with business! There's nothing wrong with business stories. However, they should all turn back to the emotional dynamics between the players.

Diane overhears Claire say that she and Kyle are splitsville at Society

Diane: "Excuse me, did I overhear correctly?"

Nikki: "Serves her right for eavesdropping!"

Nikki, after hearing that Holden has a past with Audra after learning he works for Cane

Nikki: "Strike two!"

Jack, upon seeing that Michael is apparently back in Victor's employ

Jack (to Michael): "Just when you thought you were out, he pulls you back in!"

Jack tries to get Victor onto his side regarding Cane

Jack (to Victor): "We can hate each other later, it would be my pleasure. Let's take care of Cane first."

Claire tells Kyle she doesn't want to argue with him in Chancellor Park

Kyle (to Claire): "It's a conversation. We used to have them all the time."

Claire remarks to Kyle that her trip to Los Angeles is nothing like his to France with Audra

Claire: "I'm not going to be lounging in a train car in France."

Kyle: "This is all about me and my mistake. I hurt you, so you want to hurt me. Well, well done, Claire! Victor would be so proud!"

Audra comes upon Kyle after his fight with Claire

Kyle: "Keep walking, Audra. You've done enough!"

Audra: "You were so sure you and Claire would kiss and make up. You wanted to screw up my life, but you were certain it wouldn't bite you in the ass."

Kyle called Audra "poison."

Kyle: "That's you, every breath."

Audra: "Why are you so obsessed with me?"

Nikki and Lauren discuss their husbands, Victor and Michael, and Victor's feud with Jack

Nikki: "I just accept it, and try to do damage control -- or what? Leave him?"

Lauren: "Well, we both know that's not going to happen!"

Lauren muses that Michael and Victor's relationship is a friendship

Nikki: "You could call it a family."

Nikki called Victor "impossible."

Victor: "I've heard that before."

Nikki: "I wonder why."

Jess Walton's return as Jill Foster Abbott continues to be a highlight of 2025. Walton is a two-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress who has been a favorite even since she stepped into the role of Jill over 38 years ago.

We can't wait to see the returns of Gina (Patty Weaver) and Nina (Tricia Cast). Their presence will be the best wedding gift to Danny and Cricket. Of course, the best gift to fans will be a scene where Nina rips into Cane for his role in the death of her son, Chance (Conner Floyd).
