The Young and the Restless Daily YAPP, recap, December 4: Victor Newman uses Cane's AI program for a good reason, finally 

Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

We're not going to lie. We'd be just fine if we never heard the words "AI" or "Artificial Intelligence" ever again on The Young and the Restless. The show utilized this new program that's being written about in the media and employed it as a plot device. However, it never quite tracked that Cane (Billy Flynn) would use the AI program because it wouldn't have gotten him what he still so desperately wanted -- a better relationship with Lily (Christel Khalil) and their kids, Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson). We're betting that Cane was sorry he ever got his hands on the technology after Victor (Eric Braeden) used it on his company. (Oops.) However, we are not sorry at all that Victor used the technology against Matt (Roger Howarth), who thought that he could run Noah (Lucas Adams) off the road, kidnap him and Sienna (Tamara Braun), and terrorize Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) without consequence! Enter Victor and the AI program. Victor gave Matt a chance to return Noah to the family safely, unharmed. Matt yelled back that he wouldn't do that. Once Victor learned that Noah was safe, he called his tech team and had them obliterate Matt's finances. Hit 'em where it hurts, baby! It was terrific to see Victor financially vanquish his family's enemy this way! AI technology used this way is something we can get behind!
