Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless character Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has been trying to reunite with his ex-wife, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), since he returned to the canvas over six months ago. She didn't want him then, and she doesn't want him now. Cane, of course, sees things differently. He sees Lily bending a bit, and, in fairness, she has -- but not that much. We think after today's scenes, Cane should pack up his self-respect and leave Lily in the past. He started with good intentions, bringing her a rose. But Lily wasn't interested in repeating the duo's walk down memory lane (no pun intended). "I am not going to change my mind, and I'm also not going to sit around while you try to work your way into my heart," Lily proclaimed, "because I know it's not real. It's an illusion -- just like Aristotle Dumas," (the alias Kane used while amassing his fortune). Cane kept persisting, as he's done for the last half-year. But Lily let her legs do the talking when she walked away from her ex. Before she left, she said, "You know what? We are talking in circles. I'm not going to argue with you. I have to go. Goodbye, Cane. You can keep the rose." With that, Lily walked away. Sure, she had a flashback to him later, but Lily is leaving town to visit her daughter, Mattie (Lexie Stevenson), and when she comes back, she's hoping that Cane has gotten the message.
