This week on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis pledged her loyalty to Cane. Phyllis and Lily clashed. Adam filled in his family about what Cane had been up to in Genoa City. Phyllis walked in on the Newmans making plans, but Nick swore her to secrecy and appealed to her to side with his family. Phyllis warned Cane that the Newmans were aware he’d been buying real estate in Genoa City, but she stopped short of revealing that Adam had been in Nice. Nick implored Sharon to fish for information from Phyllis. Phyllis admitted to Sharon that she hadn’t chosen a side yet. Audra became increasingly flirtatious with Kyle. After noticing the chemistry between Kyle and Audra, Cane agreed to help them with their marketing campaign by sampling their fragrances and delaying the release of Dumas’ true identity. Kyle and Audra hovered dangerously close to one another while celebrating with Champagne in her sleeping car. Jack blew up when he learned Billy intended to get Chancellor back and have Sally run Abbott Communications in his place. Billy wondered if Jack was threatening to pull his funding. After seeing Lily and Damian kissing, Cane drank heavily and removed a chain from his neck that held his wedding band. Lily and Damian began to make love. Victoria and Claire struggled to cope with Cole’s death. Nate offered his condolences. Claire planned to read the same poem at Cole’s memorial service that he had recited after baby Eve had allegedly died. Victoria postponed the service until after her family returned from France. Victoria broke down when telling Chelsea about Cole’s death. Holden comforted Claire and shared his own experience with losing his father to cancer. Chelsea told Adam about her suspicions that Holden was Cane’s spy. Adam invited Holden to discuss the possibility of Holden working at Newman Media. A frustrated Tessa suggested she and Mariah make their separation permanent. Mariah flashed back to suffocating an older man with a pillow. Danny staged a romantic evening for Christine filled with mementos from their past. Christine happily accepted Danny’s marriage proposal.
