This week on The Young and the Restless, Kyle made an eloquent speech about Nikki’s virtues and presented her with a charm bracelet with her descendants’ names at her birthday celebration. Nikki was touched, but Victor considered it a manipulation. Nikki begged Victor to accept Claire and Kyle’s relationship as a gift to her. Kyle offered to sign a formal contract agreeing to pay Victor $5 million and leave town if Kyle broke Claire’s heart. Victor later presented Kyle with an agreement, which Kyle signed. Victor ordered Audra to step up her plan to show Claire that Kyle was untrustworthy. Audra suggested that Victor get her and Kyle invitations to Dumas’ party in France. Victor rejected Michael’s attempts to smooth things over. Lauren worried that Michael would be drawn back into Victor’s orbit. Cole suffered a medical relapse and initially refused treatment. Victoria and Claire pressured Cole until he relented and saw a doctor, who suspected Cole had pneumonia. Cole was admitted to the hospital for further tests. Dumas’ assistant called Damian to inform him he was fired and that he had to fire Holden. Audra turned down Damian’s request that she hire Holden, but Lily was open to finding a place at Winters for Holden. A livid Holden broke ties with Damian upon learning of the firing. A shattered Holden sought out a sympathetic Audra for friendship. Amy decided to relocate to Genoa City. Nick invited Sharon to France as his plus-one to Dumas’ event, while Sally agreed to accompany Billy. Billy and Sally decided to postpone the launch of Abbott Communications until after their trip to France. Phyllis failed to land a meeting with Dumas in D.C., but she later finagled an invitation to his party through Amanda. Adam insinuated that he was just waiting for the right time to inflict the most damage to Billy’s reputation. Adam contemplated why he and Chelsea were excluded from Dumas’ guest list. Daniel lent Tessa support as they bonded over guitar lessons. Sharon unsuccessfully tried to get Mariah to open up about what was haunting her. Mariah later flashed back to drinking heavily and meeting an older man at a bar.
