The Young and the Restless Recap, September 1-5, 2025: Nate dumps Audra, Kyle proposes to Claire, and Cane offers Michael a job

This week on The Young and the Restless, Audra finally admitted to Nate that she’d agreed to Victor’s terms that she try to seduce Kyle in exchange for funding for Vibrante. An appalled Nate walked out on Audra and later confided his troubles to Victoria. Kyle staged a romantic evening for Claire, who wanted to take things slowly. Claire was stunned when Kyle proposed, and she assumed that it was his way of making up for lying to her about Audra. After telling Kyle she needed time to think, Claire ran into Holden and invited him to get drunk with her. Holden evaded Claire’s questions about his history with Audra in Los Angeles. Holden stopped Audra and a tipsy Claire from getting into a physical altercation. Kyle contemplated how to drive Audra out of town. Cane refused to cave into Victor’s attempt to blackmail him. Victor confronted Cane about developing an artificial intelligence application that could infiltrate and destabilize companies, intending to use the software against Jabot. Cane denied such technology was possible, but Victor summoned Victoria, Nick, and Adam to discuss how to obtain the AI software for their own gain. Victoria and Adam pushed Nick to become Phyllis’ confidante to get information about Cane. Cane extended a lucrative offer to Michael to join his team as a fixer. Michael suggested that he salvage his friendship with Victor by accepting Cane’s offer while really working for Victor. Phyllis agreed to wipe the slate clean if Michael disclosed who he was working for, but he was irked that she’d bargain with their friendship. Lily urged Cane to be honest with her if he wanted to win back her trust. Cane tried to convince Lily that he’d abandoned his plans for Genoa City, but she stormed off when Phyllis interrupted to insist that she and Cane talk business. Cane angrily ordered Phyllis to stay out of his private life. Diane suspected Jack would never retaliate against Victor because Nikki would also be affected. Nikki surprised Victor with a romantic dinner. Sally accepted Billy’s invitation to move in with him.
