As Soap Central previously reported, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have been airing classic episodes due to the coronavirus pandemic. With both shows having aired the last of their new, pre-COVID-19-filmed episodes, they've been bringing fans theme weeks filled with throwback episodes featuring long-lost cherished characters, epic adventures, and classic moments.

Y&R's first theme week kicked off on Monday, April 27, and was dedicated to iconic Genoa City matriarch Katherine Chancellor (played by the late Jeanne Cooper). Its second theme week kicked off on Monday, May 4, and was dedicated to Victor and Nikki's love story. Y&R's third week of themed episodes diverted slightly from focusing on characters and instead was five episodes about the show's infamous grudges and rivalries. Its fourth week, which began on May 18, focused on the iconic Winters family.

Soap Central will be providing recaps for all of the classic episodes that aired before the Internet Age, and you can read them in our Daily Recaps Archives. That's also the place to check out recaps for any soap opera episode that has aired between 1996 and the present day.

What do you think about Y&R airing a week of episodes dedicated to villains? Which episode are you most looking forward to watching? What themes would you like to see the soap opera air in the future? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
