Zach was surprised to see Hannah in his office. Hannah announced that she wanted to thank Zach for helping her become a happy person again. Then, Hannah asked if Kendall knew what happened between them the night she left town. Zach explained that Kendall was going through a difficult time and did not need any added stress. Hannah gave her condolences about Zach and Kendall's children. Hannah stated that she hoped she would have a child of her own by this time; however, Hannah was not pregnant. Zach asked if she came back to proposition him once more. Hannah said that she returned to reclaim her old job. Hannah wanted to help Zach run Cambias, especially now that he was busy with Ian and Spike. Zach looked hesitant, but gave Hannah her job back. Hannah smiled immediately hugged Zach.

Kendall went to see Greenlee in her penthouse. Greenlee was shocked to see Kendall, but even more shocked to hear what Kendall had to say. Kendall explained that hating Greenlee took up too much of her energy. Kendall believed that her main focus should be on her family, not her rage for Greenlee. Kendall affirmed her willingness to try to forgive Greenlee, although it might take a while. Greenlee was ecstatic and went to hug Kendall. Kendall backed away from the hug and stated that she was not doing this for Greenlee's benefit. Greenlee did not care because she was appeased with any type of reconciliation. Kendall then suggested that their first step towards forgiveness should be a civil working relationship at Fusion. Greenlee agreed. Then, Kendall told Greenlee that she could not tell Zach or Ryan about their truce. Greenlee explained that Ryan would find out because of his constant surveillance. Kendall offered to talk to Ryan. Finally, Kendall wanted Greenlee to swear that she would not go near Spike or Ian. Greenlee agreed. After Kendall left the penthouse, she smirked and stated that Greenlee "bought it."

Ryan was driving home from the prison and tried to call Annie from his cell phone. Aidan picked up the house phone. Aidan was confused because Annie left the house without telling anyone. Ryan was concerned for fear that Richie abducted Annie. Then, Ryan entered the house. Aidan assumed that Annie left willingly because there was no sign of a struggle. Aidan also divulged that Annie had the locket watch in her purse. Ryan looked startled, but assumed that Richie planted the watch there. Aidan seemed skeptical, so Ryan asserted that his wife was innocent. Then, Annie arrived home. Annie claimed that she went to the beach for some fresh air. Aidan then left and Ryan broke the news to Annie that Richie was out of prison. Annie freaked out. Ryan swore that he would protect her and their family. Ryan asked for a description of Richie. Annie described him and stated that his most noticeable attribute was a spider tattoo on his neck. Ryan then left the room to make a phone call as Annie told herself that she was the only person that could stop Richie.

Babe and Wes were cleaning up at The Comeback when a man walked in and asked for a beer. The stranger was quiet and looked angry as he drank alone. Meanwhile, Babe and Wes flirted as they finished their chores. Wes joked that he made great nachos and asked Babe if she was interested in going on a date with him to eat nachos. Babe was flattered, but explained that she was not ready to date yet. Then, the stranger grabbed Babe and put a knife to her throat. The man demanded the keys to the register. Wes was calm and pretended to get the keys, but instead lunged for the knife. The two men grappled for a minute and the stranger finally ran out. Wes had a minor cut on his arm from the fight. Babe cared for the wound and thanked Wes. Babe said that she changed her mind about the date. Wes was happy. Then, Derek entered and asked for a description of the culprit. Babe and Wes stated that he had a spider tattoo on his neck!

Erica and Jackson get ready for their new show, "He Said, She Said." The begin debating about how much parents should get involved into their child's life. Jackson thinks parents should butt out of their child's life after a certain age, but Erica disagrees. Erica says it is not right to stand by and watch their children hurt other people. Erica brings up an example of a child kidnapping another child or the role of a stepparent disciplining a stepchild. Jackson says he doesn't think she would treat her stepchildren the same as her biological children. They finish their fight and after the camera stop rolling, kiss and leave together.

Kendall tells Zach that she was glanced at a message board for parents with deaf children and learned that she can show Spike show loves him with hand gestures and facial expressions. Annie and Ryan come into the room and announce they are moving out, but not taking Spike. Ryan explains that Annie brother's is threatening her and they feel it is safer for them to move out. Seeing Annie so upset, Kendall sits beside her and holds her hand. She says they are a family who stick together so there is no need for anyone to move out. Ryan and Annie insist on moving out and ask Zach and Kendall if they will take care of Emma. Of course, Kendall and Zach agree. Kendall tells Annie that she knows it will be hard to be away from Emma, but Emma will be safe with them. Kendall tells Ryan he can drop his bodyguards on Greenlee and use them to protect Emma and Annie. Ryan says he has enough guards for Spike, Emma and Annie. Kendall and Zach ask Emma if she would like to stay for a sleepover and Emma agrees. Ryan and Annie leave the house as Richie watches from the bushes.

Colby comes downstairs and finds Krystal cleaning as a way to cope with Babe's life being threatened. Babe, Tad and JR with Little Adam come into the room a few minutes later. Adam storms through the front door and demands that Colby quit working at The Comeback because she may get hurt. JR says that Colby was not at the bar when the incident happened. Colby says she likes her job because it makes her feel like a responsible person, not a spoiled brat. Adam tells Colby that it would make him worry less if she moved back home. He says that Zach gave him the house back and invites JR back to the house too. Colby and JR refuse to leave Krystal's home, despite Adam's pleas. Dre comes to the house and sees Adam, telling him he can't paint in the suit and tie. Tad explains that Adam may look like Stuart, but they are nothing alike. JR tells his father is happy he got the house back, but will have to spoil the fun by telling Krystal he has been impersonating Stuart. JR says he won't tell Krystal about Adam's impersonations, as long as he backs off Krystal. Tad asks Dre where the rest of the band is, but Dre jokes that he may not be able to keep up with them. Colby explains her family situation to Dre, but says it is complicated. When Colby asks Dre about his parents, he only says that he is on his own now. Colby notices a scar on Dre's arm and gets ready to go to school. Colby tells her father that she is not moving back with, but will spend the weekends and some evenings with him. Krystal asks Adam to tell Stuart she needs his help with something at the bar later on. JR and Babe decide to make amends for Little Adam's sake. JR shows Babe a sketch of the robber on his phone and asks if that is him. Babe says yes, and JR jokes that she would have taken the robber down.

Julia and Jonathan look after Ava as she is recovering from surgery at Wildwind. Julia takes Kathy to school and tells Ava to get some rest. Jonathan tells Ava that her career is not his business, but JR can't be trusted. Ava says having her own network would be great and she respects the fact that he has ambition. Jonathan asks Ava about her pregnancy scare, but she doesn't want to discuss it. Ava tells Jonathan that she is on the pill "most of the time," but Jonathan agrees they both need to be sexually responsible. Ava says that she isn't ready to be a mother, but thinks Jonathan would make a good father. Jonathan says he never wants to be a father because everyone still considers him "Ryan's crazy brother." Ava tells Jonathan he is not crazy anymore and shouldn't let that determine his parenthood skills. JR comes in and shows off the headlines of Ava and Jonathan making love on the beach. He tells Ava that after that incident, he doesn't want to work with her anymore.

Julia takes Kathy to see Tad. Kathy gives Tad a drawing and he thanks with a muffin and orange juice. Julia gives one of Jamie's books she found at Wildwind to Tad. She admits she came to see Tad because Kathy has been talking nonstop about him. Tad says he should not have gone off on Julia about trying to pass Kathy off as a replacement for Kate. Tad says he loves being with Kathy, and still has faith he will find Kate. Julia says Tad he seems more content than ever, thinking he is dating Krystal again. Tad explains he and Krystal are just friends.

Greenlee met Aidan at The Comeback. Greenlee was mad at Aidan because he told Ryan that they were not close. Aidan explained that he said that to get information out of Ryan because they were working on a case together. Aidan apologized and Greenlee accepted. Then, Aidan asked Greenlee about the locket watch. Greenlee realized that the watch was connected to the case with Ryan and asked for details. Aidan said that it was confidential. Aidan then told Greenlee that he really did care about her and kissed her goodbye. Afterwards, Aidan received a phone call about the origins of the locket watch.

Babe and Amanda were at Fusion when Kendall and Di entered. They were surprised to see Di, so Kendall explained that she asked Di to come for a staff meeting about Greenlee. Kendall then announced that she called a truce with Greenlee for Fusion's benefit. The other women were not happy about this. Kendall thanked Babe for her hard work, but remained that she and Greenlee had to run Fusion together. Babe looked disappointed, but understood. Then, Di told the women that the tabloids wrote that Ava was dating Jonathan, a psycho murderer. Babe and Amanda had enough of Ava's scandals and wanted to fire her. Then, Greenlee entered and asserted that Ava should stay because she was good for business. Kendall agreed. Kendall then asked Babe to be Ava's new handler. Babe was hesitant, but gave in. Then, Greenlee gave Kendall two gifts for Spike and Ian. Kendall thanked Greenlee, but immediately threw the gifts in the garbage when Greenlee left.

JR went to Wildwind to tell Ava that he no longer wanted to go into business with her due to the scandal in the tabloids with Jonathan. Jonathan was irate, so Ava asked to speak privately with Jonathan. Ava calmed Jonathan down by assuring him that she could handle JR. Ava also said that she did not care about the tabloids because she knew Jonathan was a great guy. Jonathan was happy and left. Then, Ava called JR's bluff by declaring that he still needed her for his fashion network. JR admitted this was true. Then, he informed Ava that Jonathan already passed on the idea with Ryan's venture capitalist company. JR wanted Ava to convince Jonathan to fund the project. Then, JR described the fame that Ava would achieve from the project. As they discussed the idea, the two got closer and eventually kissed. Afterwards, they looked at each other awkwardly and claimed the kiss was a mistake. Then, Ava asked how JR would get around her Fusion contract. JR asserted that Babe would give him whatever he wanted. Then, JR looked up and saw Babe standing there.

Josh entered his office and saw Hannah sitting at his desk. Josh was startled and asked why Hannah returned. Hannah stated that Zach needed her help. Josh did not believe this. Josh bluntly asked Hannah if she slept with Zach before she left town. Hannah said this was none of Josh's business. Josh then warned Hannah to stay away from Zach and Kendall. Hannah smiled and said that she did not return for Zach. Hannah then admitted that she missed Josh and this was why she returned. Josh was skeptical. Hannah slyly smiled when she stated that believed Josh missed her too.

Ryan and Annie went to their penthouse. After they entered, the robber from The Comeback put his ear to the front door to eavesdrop. Annie worried that Richie might hurt Ryan. Ryan assured Annie that they would be safe and urged her to relax. So, Annie began to unpack. Annie then found her high school year book. Annie turned to the page that had Richie's picture, but his face was crossed out. Annie proceeded to burn the book in the fireplace. Then, Jonathan came by to tell Ryan and Annie about the tabloids calling him a murderer. Jonathan suggested that he resign from Ryan's company. Ryan refused the resignation because Jonathan was family. Annie told Jonathan that Ryan was lucky to have such a great brother. Then, Jonathan left and Aidan came to see Ryan. Aidan revealed that Annie sent the locket watch to herself! Ryan was speechless. Meanwhile, the robber made a call to an unidentified person. The robber claimed that he "was just starting to have fun."

Erica goes to check on Kendall at Fusion. Kendall tells her mother that Di has established a foothold in New York and she and Greenlee are working well together. Erica thinks Kendall should get rid of Greenlee, but she agrees to let Kendall handle the situation her way. Erica tells Kendall she shouldn't have to deal with Greenlee, but Kendall says it has worked well. Zach takes care of Spike while she works and they both visit Ian, Kendall adds. As Kendall remembers seeing Greenlee looking at her holding Ian, Erica senses something is wrong. Kendall says her pain is nothing compared to what Spike has been through. Erica commends Kendall for keeping a positive attitude and invites her for a girl's night out. As Kendall locks up, Erica calls someone and whispers, "It works. We're on our way." The pair's first stop is at the New Beginnings studios, where Kendall meets a 10-year-old boy named Jason. Kendall begins talking to the child about soccer and says she hopes Ian and Spike grow up to be like him. Kendall is surprised when Erica says he is a guest on the show. Kendall and Zach listen to Erica explain that Jason is deaf, but is still able to participate in so many activities.

Babe asks JR what he meant by telling Ava how easy Babe was, but JR is interrupted by a call before he can answer. Babe tells Ava they need to have a serious talk, but Ava says she hasn't done anything wrong. Babe warns Ava not to listen to JR's pitch or else she will make the biggest mistake of her life. Ava claims she doesn't know what he wants, but Babe continues to say that JR is only looking out for himself. Babe walks outside and immediately asks JR what he wants with Ava. JR explains that he wants to start a web site selling Fusion products with Ava as the star. Babe reminds JR that Ava has no say in Fusion's business decisions. Ava stands by the door so she can overhear the conversation. Babe tells JR that if he doesn't start telling the truth she will go straight to Greenlee and Kendall. By taking his network and aligning it with Fusion, it could be attractive to potential investors, JR says. He adds that he wants to show people he has changed and wants to make Little Adam proud. Babe says she can't help JR by backstabbing Fusion.

JR comes back inside and Ava immediately asks him when he is going to start up his company. When JR says if she came to work with him, it would mean breaking the Fusion contract, Ava doesn't seem to mind. Ava says her fans are ready for more, but JR says they need the cash from Jonathan to dump Fusion and never look back.

At The Comeback, Wes tells Krystal that one of the lightbulbs on the ceiling needs fixed. Krystal tells Wes that Stuart will fix it when he comes to visit and sends him home. Krystal tells Jenny that Adam has been pretending to be Stuart because he knows it is the only way to spend time with Colby and her. Krystal says she is going to make Adam regret ever letting her go in the first place. Stuart walks in and Krystal is ready to put her plan into action. Krystal asks Stuart to help onto a car, leans over and put the light bulb in. When her efforts fail, she turns back toward Stuart and admits that she misses Adam. Krystal gushes about how much she loves Adam, despite what the rotten things he did to her. Krystal gets down from the chair, takes off her jacket and rolls a cold beer around her chest to cool off. Stuart encourages Krystal to tell Adam how she feels because he will say it back to her. Krystal tells Stuart that the jig is up and plants a kiss on him. When she pulls away, she is stunned to realize Stuart is not Adam.

Ryan shows Annie a shipping receipt Aidan brought over which proves she sent her mother's locket to herself. Annie claims the receipt is wrong, but Ryan points out it has her signature. Annie says Richie faked the signature and is trying to make her look like she has lost her mind. As Ryan begins to question Annie, she thinks he doesn't believe her. Ryan says he doesn't doubt her, but doesn't understand how Richie knows where they live and so many other things about their lives. Annie explains that Richie has always had a knack with knowing the right things. Her parents always took his side because he made her look like the problem child, Annie says. She adds that her greatest fear is Ryan will meet Richie and think she is crazy. Ryan promises that will never happen and hugs his wife. Derek comes and says his men found a dead man who fits the description of the Comeback robber and Annie's brother. He asks Annie to come to the morgue to identify the body.

Josh tells Zach that when he walked into his office, he saw Hannah sitting at his desk. Zach tells Josh he gave Hannah her job back, but nothing more. Josh asks Zach is he slept with Hannah before she left town, but Zach does not answer. He tells Josh that her motives for coming back to town are simply about business. Josh says that the Chandler Enterprises takeover is not going as smoothly, but it doesn't help that he gave Adam his house back. Zach says he doesn't need the house anymore and it will take more than that for the Chandler's to get back on their feet. Zach tells Josh he gave Hannah her job back because he wants to work with the best people possible, considering he has some many other personal problems to deal with. Josh admits he doesn't trust Hannah, so Zach asks him to keep an eye on her.

Kendall is stunned when she finds out that Jason, the young guest on Erica's New Beginnings show, is totally deaf, just like Spike. She watches in stunned silence for a few moments as the interview progresses, but then accuses Zach and Erica of setting her up. When the interview is over Erica, obviously pleased with herself, comes over to gauge her daughter's reaction. Kendall is incensed that once again, the great Erica Kane has tried to control everyone around her. Zach supports Erica's effort, saying it wasn't control, but rather a way to show her that her son could lead a normal life despite his hearing loss. Not being able to process everything quickly enough, Kendall prepares to leave the studio. Before she can go, Jason calls to her and asks if they can speak before she leaves.

Derek visits Annie and Ryan and asks that they come down to the morgue to see if the man that overdosed is really Richie Novak. Ryan assures Annie that there is no rush, and Derek simply asks them to come down when they are ready. He leaves, and Ryan tries to make Annie aware that everything will be all right. He tells her that if her brother is indeed dead, then all of the horror she has been living through will be over. Annie tells him that he is wrong, and then dismisses that tack, instead choosing to focus on her disbelief that Richie could get into drugs. She tells Ryan that it's so unlike her brother because he never liked being out of control. She tells him that she can't believe her brother would have changed that much in prison. Ryan tells her that they will only know for sure by seeing if he is really at the morgue. She takes another turn at blaming herself for what happened to her brother, even though Ryan confirms his belief that she did the right thing by saving her brother from himself.

Although she is terrified to see a dead body, Babe is able to go into the morgue by holding Wes' hand for support. They are only in there for a few moments, and when they emerge, they confirm that the corpse is of the man who held Babe at knifepoint. Derek arrives just then, and Babe overhears that Annie and Ryan will be coming down to the station. Derek confesses that the dead man might be Annie's brother, and Babe feels compelled to stay. Wes offers to stay as well, but Babe notes that this will be hard enough on Annie without a stranger hanging around. Wes agrees, and then writes his phone number on Babe's arm for her use should she need it. Annie arrives in short order with Ryan trailing quickly behind. Although she is appreciative of Babe's offer to stay, Annie promises that she will be fine because she has Ryan with her. Babe hugs her and makes her promise to call no matter what happens. After her co-worker vacates the premises, Annie tries to ready herself. She pauses before going in to say that if she positively identifies her brother, her only choice will be to confess what she did to get him sent to prison. She thinks that she will need to go to prison for perjuring herself, but Ryan tells her that Emma and Spike need her more. He promises to help her through if it turns out that she did actually lose her brother. She then walks into the room where the body is covered by the sheet, and after checking in with her visually one more time, the medical examiner pulls back the sheet. Before she can comment, she faints.

Babe wanders to the Comeback, where she finds Wes waiting for her. He offers to fetch a drink for her, but she begs him not to leave her alone. She tells him that she thought she was prepared, but seeing the would-be robber's face took her right back to that night, and the feel of the knife against her throat. Wes tries to comfort her by saying that he would protect her, and that she would be around for many years to come to watch her son grow up.

While working inside the Comeback, Krystal apologizes profusely to Stuart for kissing him the way that she did, guaranteeing him that she only acted in that manner because she believed that his brother was impersonating him again. Stuart rambles on about how Adam still really loves her and just doesn't know how to show it. He also confesses that the twin switch was his idea this time. Krystal doesn't believe him at first but after he hotly insists that he doesn't lie, Krystal accepts it as fact. However, Adam's deception makes her angry, and she reminds Stuart that Adam's brand of love is something that she can do without, especially given what he did to her while she was in labor and Jenny shortly after she was born. Stuart tries to convince her that she needs to give Adam another chance, but Krystal is back in her mindset that she can never have a future with Adam.

Adam gets a delivery at the mansion, and after opening it, asks the staff member to get Colby's old room ready, as he expects the young girl to spend nights and weekends at the house, and will eventually move back full time. Tad breaks up his gleeful mood by trying to convince Adam that the way he loves his children has never worked because he drives everyone away. Adam blows him off in his typical style, saying that he would get his children back someday because only so much nonsense (such as what is witnessed in Tad's house) can be tolerated. Tad calls him on the truth, saying that Adam not only wants his children back but he also wants Krystal. Adam denies it, and continues to give Tad a hard time about wanting his family for all of these years. He takes it one step further and says that deserved to lose Kate and that it was his punishment for fathering a child with another man's wife. Tad is tempted to retaliate but barely resists the urge. Instead, he tells Adam that he will no longer be allowed to violate his house the way that he did when he showed up unannounced. Adam promises that he has no other reason to come there now that his daughter is coming home. Tad dares to challenge that theory, noting that there is much more in the house that he wants. Seeing where he is going, Adam questions his protection of Krystal and while Krystal enters the foyer unnoticed, Adam asks if Tad is in love with her. Pausing but for a moment, Tad admits that he does, much to Krystal's shock.
