If you had a doppelgänger under your control, what would you have him or her do for you? That's the question Soap Central posed to several daytime stars, and their answers were quite hilarious.

Doppelgängers are a dime a dozen on soap operas, but what if having an evil (or maybe even not so evil) twin was more common in real life? We here at Soap Central have pondered that very question and -- at the risk of sounding a bit Machiavellian or Victor Newmanish -- have thought of all kinds of ways to use our doppelgängers to our advantage. But what would some of your favorite stars from General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, and Days of our Lives do with an identical twin under their control? We asked several of the shows' stars that very question, and their answers just might surprise you.

Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman, Y&R)
"She could be by nanny and keep my kids in line: the mean, bitchy, tough mom that keeps the kids in line -- and I wouldn't have to pay her!"

Wally Kurth (Ned Ashton, GH; Justin Kiriakis, DAYS)
"Run for office. There's a part of me that's a closet politician, but of course I could never be a politician, because well, I've been married before, I've done drugs, I've seen a therapist, and who knows what my ex-wife has been saying, or ex-girlfriends, I don't know! [Laughs] The doppelgänger is the perfect guy. I can tell him what to say and what policies he should be instituting, but he'd be the perfect guy, married since he was 20 years old, everything is perfect, no problems."

Reign Edwards (Nicole Avant, B&B)
"That's a good question. If I was still in school, it would be homework. That was intense, gettin' all them good grades! But now, it's driving. I hate driving in L.A. It sucks! I was so excited to drive, and then once I started, I was like, 'Forget this!' It's overrated."

Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman, Y&R)
"If I had another Joshua Morrow running around, I think the thing I'd love the most is some help taking all of my kids around. That gets pretty hard. So I could use another person to shuttle my kids around."

Eric Martsolf (Brady Black, DAYS)
"God, I don't know, because people would still assume it was me, right? So I don't think I could get away with anything. They'd still come after me in the end, I just wouldn't have the embarrassment of the situation -- he would. But they would still come after me. So I guess I would probably have him do poop patrol for my dog. Every time my wife asks me to clean up the poop in the backyard, I would send my doppelgänger. I would get the credit for it, but I wouldn't have to do it."

Angell Conwell (Leslie Michaelson, Y&R)
"What could she do for me? Oh, my gosh, these are the types of questions you want to know ahead of time so you can let your imagination go! [laughs] You know, I would just want her to do my hair for me when I wake up in the morning. We could be in the same room and everything, and she'd just do my hair. She could help me with all the girly stuff."

Cady McClain (ex-Dixie Cooney, All My Children; ex-Kelly Andrews, Y&R)
"Oh, massages! I'd want foot massages, back massages, and she'd know where all my hurty spots are without me telling her. She'd say, 'Sit down, I got it for ya. I know where it's at.'"

Angelica McDaniel (Senior Vice President, CBS Daytime)
"Well I would mix it up a little bit, and instead of having a doppelganger, I'd refer to it as a tropplegänger, and I would go relax on the beach in Maui, one of me would go run CBS Daytime, and the other one would stay home with my baby!"

Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez, DAYS)
"I've been told that my doppelgänger is Kim Kardashian, so I'd want to go shopping with her. Like a big shopping spree!"

Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby, Y&R)
"When they killed me off in 2010, they brought me back, and I had an evil twin, so they doppelgänged me for a little bit. It was a fun experience, because you get to play something different... if I had a doppelgänger again, I'd want him to make love to Victoria Newman. But then again, I don't think make love would be the correct term. I think it would be passionate population!"

Judi Evans (Adrienne Kiriakis, DAYS)
"Go to my other job for me, because I need a day off! I was just thinking this morning that I need two days off in a row. I work pretty much seven day weeks [at DAYS and as a full-time sales director of a funeral home], and I've been doing that schedule for pretty much the past two years. So I would like her to go to work for me, and I could have a month off where I was traveling or something on a beach."

Jacob Young (Rick Forrester, B&B)
"If I had a doppelgänger, I'd make him do all my work. I'd be at home thinking, 'He's got it covered. It's cool!'"

Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie Williams, DAYS)
"I could have my doppelgänger shop for dinner so I could focus more on writing!"

Bill Hayes (Doug Williams)
"I'd do the scenes with Julie [played by my real-life wife, Susan Hayes]; he could do all the other scenes."

Aloma Wright (Maxine Landis, GH)
"Whatever I don't want to do, that's for sure! How about clean my house? If I can have someone else do that, that's as good as it gets for me! I need a maid. She can look like me, but she don't have to. It don't matter, as long as she cleans the house!"
