The Young and the Restless star James Hyde paid tribute to his beloved late brother.

James Hyde, who made waves on The Young and the Restless in 2022 and 2023 as the evil and mysterious Jeremy Stark, has experienced a heartbreaking loss. The actor's brother recently passed away, and Hyde honored him on Instagram.

"My brother Tom passed away early this morning. He was in hospice care and his son Dustyn said he passed peacefully," the actor wrote next to a photo of Tom smoking a cigar and holding up two figures to symbolize peace. "Tom was Father, Grandfather, Army Veteran, and a great brother to me. Love you Tom your now with Mom and Dad!! Rest in Peace. God Bless You."

Hyde's former Y&R co-stars, as well as other soap players, offered their condolences, including Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore), who wrote, "Sending love and prayers to you and your family."

Michelle Stafford, whose Phyllis Summer shared a big storyline with Hyde, simply said, "I'm so sorry, James."

Other actors who wished Hyde the best at this time were Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, General Hospital), Lyndsay Hartley (ex-Sam McCall, GH; ex-Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, Passions), and Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady, Days of our Lives).

Hyde began his soap career on Another World in 1997 but is best known for playing Sam Bennett on Passions from 1999 to 2008.
