Zende talked Zoe into singing a song for him at work, and she confided in him that she was still considering Carter's offer. Julius gave Zende permission to live his life without Nicole, and Zende text-messaged Zoe in the middle of a pivotal dinner with Carter to ask her to ditch Carter and meet Zende at work. Hope got Liam to see that his behavior was disrespectful to Hope and to Steffy, and Liam agreed to let Steffy live her own life. Finn and Steffy expressed love for each other. As Hope mulled over the idea of letting Thomas design for HFTF again, Thomas tried to reason with the Hope replica mannequin that he'd taken from Forrester. Thomas wanted to return the mannequin to storage, but the mannequin pleaded with him to let it stay with him.

Without telling Tripp, Kayla ran a DNA test to determine if Tripp was Henry's father. John left the hospital and went home. Orpheus, Clyde, and Rolf escaped from prison during a blackout. A vision of Ciara pleaded with Ben not to kill Vincent. Rolf confronted Chad over Stefano's microchip. Clyde made Ben promise to sleep before Ben decided whether to kill Vincent. Orpheus demanded at gunpoint that Marlena help him. Belle talked to John about Jan's friendship with Claire. Rolf escaped with Gwen's help. Jan visited Belle, and they argued before Shawn chased Jan away. Claire helped rescue Charlie from a locked office, and he asked her to dinner. Sarah ordered Xander to apologize to Philip, but Philip played on Xander's jealousy to keep him angry. Frustrated, Sarah kicked Xander out of bed, despite the threats of the blackout.

The police questioned Carly about the night that Nelle had died, but she stuck to the story that she and Jax had concocted. Carly was plagued by nightmares about Nelle. Nina called Jax when Carly became agitated at Nelle's graveside. Brook Lynn and Valentin commiserated over drinks then found comfort in each other's arms. Cameron admitted to Trina that he had romantic feelings for her -- and for Josslyn. Trina kissed Cam, and they both agreed that they were only friends. Dev continued to manipulate Josslyn. Brando accepted Cyrus' work offer. Cyrus turned up the heat to force Julian to sell Charlie's Pub, but Julian stood firm in his refusal. Ava realized that Scott had also blackmailed Nikolas. Nikolas admitted that he had "inconvenient" feelings for Ava, so she dared him to prove it by giving her a divorce. Michael accepted Sam's job offer at Aurora Media. Michael and Willow agreed to annul their marriage, but they also decided to make the most of their time together. Alexis continued to indulge in alcohol to deal with her grief. Sonny inherited Mike's share of a race horse that Mike had secretly invested in. Dustin offered to step aside if Lulu wanted to give Dante a second chance, but Lulu insisted that her future was with Dustin.

Sharon informed her family that she was on her way to being cancer-free. Faith sneaked out of the house to meet Jordan. Billy told Mariah that he'd seen Faith in the park at night. Nick tracked Faith down but agreed not to tell Sharon about the teen's antics. Chelsea overheard Adam bragging to Rey that Adam and Sharon belonged together. Chelsea walked out on Adam. Rey and Sharon planned to wed on New Year's Eve. The Abbotts grappled with losing Dina. Jack and Lauren agreed to dismantle the Teardrop of Love, and he presented his family members with custom-made jewelry containing stones from the necklace. Summer jumped to the wrong conclusions when she saw Lola comforting Kyle. Summer confronted Kyle, who denied having feelings for his ex and vowed to prove his love to Summer. Theo was livid when he learned the Abbotts hadn't included him in Dina's final moments. Gloria returned to Genoa City, and her family suspected that she was in trouble. Gloria hid something in a porcelain jar at the Chancellor mansion. Devon gave credit to Elena and Nate in his acceptance speech for a business award. Overwhelmed with guilt, Elena confessed to Devon that she'd slept with Nate. Devon publicly slugged Nate, injuring the surgeon's hand in a fall. Devon threw Elena out. Elena accepted Lola's invitation to become roommates. Elena decided to stop volunteering at the clinic. Amanda's private investigator turned up evidence that Rose had never been pregnant.
