AMC star: Darnell Williams headed to the web

Prospect Park has reportedly signed another All My Children star for its planned Internet production of the series -- and it's a big name. Two-time Emmy winner Darnell Williams will continue on as Jesse Hubbard, according to one of his co-stars.

Emmy winner Darnell Williams (Jesse Hubbard) will continue with All My Children when the show transitions to the Internet in 2012. That's the word according to the actor's co-star Lindsay Hartley (Cara Castillo).

"Darnell Williams has officially signed on!! More to come," Hartley posted on Twitter.

Prospect Park announced on September 19 that Hartley and Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery) had agreed to move to the company's web-based version of All My Children.

Williams, born in London, England, joined All My Children in 1981. During his seven-year run with All My Children, Williams picked up two Daytime Emmys. The first, in 1983, was for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Two years later, Williams took home the trophy in the Outstanding Lead Actor field.

Williams later returned to All My Children in spirit form in 1994. In 2008, Williams and on-screen love interest Debbi Morgan (Angie Hubbard) returned to AMC, and it was revealed that Jesse was still very much alive.

It is unclear if Morgan will participate in All My Children when it begins production under the Prospect Park masthead. The actress signed on to appear on The Young and the Restless before the news broke that AMC would continue on the Internet. Her contract with the CBS soap may not permit her to work on AMC.

Prospect Park has made no official statement regarding signing Williams.
