On the Wednesday, January 7th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, two couples found themselves in crisis. Taylor and Deacon shared another close moment in therapy, nearly too close, as Carter found out about Daphne’s plans to leave town.

In the Forrester Creations offices, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was shocked to hear that Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) was planning to leave for Paris.

Carter was confused as he discussed this news with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Steffy said it was very clear and that she was sure Daphne would talk to Carter about it, considering how she feels about him.

Carter felt that if Daphne was considering leaving for Pari that she would have told him. Steffy reminded Carter that Daphne doesn’t play games with people’s feelings. Ridge asked him if he felt Daphne was stringing him along. Carter replied that was not the case. “We can have a real future together if she just gave us a chance,” Carter responded. Steffy and Ridge urged Carter to talk to Daphne and try to stop her from leaving.

In Daphne’s office, Hope (Annika Noelle) was confused as well. She asked Daphne if she and Carter had broken up. Daphne said no. Daphne said she missed Paris, and Hope told her it seemed sudden. Daphne acknowledged that it is sudden, but the time has come for her to leave. She told Hope she loves her work at Forrester, but will be continuing her work on her fragrance line, including the one for the Hope For The Future relaunch. Hope told Daphne that she was concerned about Carter’s feelings and that she still cares about him as a friend, cares about his happiness.

“It seems like you might be running away from a really, really good thing," Hope added. "Carter obviously cares about you, and I can tell you care about him, too.”

Carter found Daphne in her office and tried to convince her to stay. He told her he was confused and didn't understand why she wanted to return to Paris. He called her the most beautiful and genuine woman he’s ever met.

She said her life was in Paris. Carter said that her life should be here in Los Angeles with me: “We're good together. You and I could be great. So stay. You won't regret it.”

Sheila frets about her marriage to Deacon

At Il Giordano, Li (Naomi Matsuda) came to see Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) after Sheila asked for her advice.

Sheila said she doesn’t feel that Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Deke (Harrison Cone) were supportive of her marriage to Deacon (Sean Kanan). Li thought Taylor was supportive of their marriage. Sheila responded that they’re not saying they’re unhappy that they’re back together, but it’s more about what they’re not saying.

Li asked her if Deacon was committed to her, and Sheila said yes. Sheila said she’s so used to everyone being opposed to her because of her violent past. Li told Sheila she couldn’t change the past, that she had to focus on the present and the future.

Sheila said she wants to make their marriage stronger so Deacon never regrets marrying her. She said Taylor has been worried about her impulsive behavior, and Sheila admitted that it is a concern to her, too. She gave Taylor credit for standing by her even though Sheila thought she shouldn’t have, considering Sheila’s nearly killing Steffy in the past.

Li advised her not only to focus on the present, but on the positives. She said she’s not a psychiatrist like Taylor, but she told Sheila she shouldn’t be working herself into a frenzy, worrying about all the possible negative outcomes.

Sheila thanked Li for reminding her that she has a husband who has shown her what true love really feels like.

In Taylor’s office, she and Deacon wrapped up their session, and Deacon decided to turn the tables and try to be the therapist. He told Taylor he was grateful to her for being a great listener. Deacon said that he had shared a lot with her, probably too much, but added that due to his experience as a restaurateur and bartender, he has the skills to listen and give advice, too. "Never doubt how much I care about you, Taylor.” Taylor gazed at him and maintained eye contact.

Later, Taylor told him he deserves the best, and Deacon told her she does, too. He told her “You give and you give, but who's there for you when you come home at night? Who's there to take care of you? Look, I know you have your kids and your grandkids, but I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about Taylor Hayes, the woman. Who does she have? She needs to find love. You need to find love.”

She responded as they stared into each other’s eyes, and meanwhile, Steffy walked into the building and stopped outside Taylor’s door, listening in.

Taylor told Deacon that because of him, she can see a life after Ridge, and that she was grateful that he came to her as a patient at a time she lost hope after losing the one and only love of her life. “You're handsome, you're driven. You're a modern gentleman. Any woman would be lucky to have you.” “Even you?” Deacon asked. “Even me. But you're married.” And Deacon responded, “And you’re my therapist.”

Taylor looked back at him, loving what she was hearing, but after a moment, she said that the time was up for their session. After a moment, Deacon left while Steffy scurried away from the door to hide.

After Deacon left, Steffy walked into Taylor’s office to ask her mother what she was doing, talking with Deacon like that. “Please don’t tell me you are falling for Deacon? That’s Sheila’s husband.”
