The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, October 7: Finn struggles with Luna's return, Hope and Deke reunite

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Taylor and Ridge expressed mutual disdain about Luna being alive, and Ridge hoped Steffy was in a good enough place to handle the news. Taylor already knew about Luna's pregnancy, and she couldn't believe it. Ridge and Taylor contemplated the idea of Luna telling the truth about her baby's father. Ridge and Taylor debated what to tell Finn about Luna's resurrection.

Ridge didn't care that Finn was Luna's father because after everything she did, there's no chance he'd cave and allow her back in. Taylor believed Luna would use her pregnancy as a means to lure Finn back into her inner circle.

Finn was more stunned than anyone to see his devious daughter back from the dead. Everything he knew about his life crumbled in an instant. Finn stuttered over his words, saying to Luna, "You were pronounced dead." Luna happily explained to her father, "Grandma Li. She did it again. Another miracle, like when she saved your life. Please, Dad. Tell me you think it's a miracle that I'm alive."

Back at Finn's office, Luna told her father she wanted to make the most of the opportunity. She wanted Finn to exclaim happiness for her being alive, but he kept a look of shock throughout the entire conversation. Finn still couldn't make sense of his dead daughter standing in front of him. She kept asking if he was happy she was alive, and he scoffed at the audacity of that question. If news of her second chance at life was enough of a shock, she finally dropped the bigger bomb that she was expecting a child, telling Finn, "You're gonna be a grandpa."

Finn couldn't comprehend Luna being pregnant because a few moments prior, he believed her to be dead and gone. "I'm just curious how you're gonna do all of that when you're locked in a prison cell. You pulled a gun on Steffy, Luna. You shot Sheila and Liam."

Luna blamed Liam for his injuries, and then dropped the biggest shocker of all and told her father she was carrying the next heir to the Spencer family fortune.

Electra was still stuck on the idea of Luna's pregnancy, as if Will had any say in the matter. Will apologized yet again for what happened with Luna and hoped the baby wasn't his. Electra wanted to go back to before Luna upended their lives with the pregnancy, but Will insisted they rely on their love to move forward. He told Electra that Luna "can't touch what you and I feel for each other."

While Electra admitted she knew Will was taken advantage of, she couldn't get past their first time being tainted by the idea of him being with Luna the night before. The pregnancy is what Electra imagined for her life.

Will was crippled with guilt about the possibility of fathering Luna's child. He wanted assurance from Electra that a future between them was still an option. Will continued to plead his case to Electra, who was still unsure of how to proceed with their relationship. He told her he didn't "give a damn about Luna," and he promised to make sure he wouldn't hurt her on this scale again. He recognized how much they loved each other and issued a proclamation to protect her moving forward.

Back at Forrester Creations, Hope went over designs with some of the models, elated that Hope For The Future was back from the dead. Deke made an unexpected stop to visit his sister, signaling the first time the two have interacted. She was unaware that he was back in town, but she said she always had time for him. In the midst of speaking to Hope, she recalled that Deke had recently graduated from design school and asked to pick his brain about the collection.

Deke told the models how beautiful they looked, and they left so he and Hope could continue their discussion. She questioned why he was back in town and asked if he had a new guy in his life. However, Deke kept his cards close to his chest and opted not to reveal the identity of his mystery man. Hope wanted to know every last detail, but she wouldn't like the name of his new boyfriend.

Deke further played coy about who he was dating and cited it as not important. He pivoted the conversation back to the relaunch of her life, which she found daunting. She asked for his input on the designs, which he seemed eager to help with.

Deke was genuinely shocked that Hope wanted his opinion about her collection. She pointed out the designs from the runway and on the rack for her brother’s input. He wasn't impressed by the boho chic vibe of the line and cited a preference for urban chic. Deke felt like he had offended his sister, but she assured him she wanted brutal honesty. He pointed out how different her life is from when she started the design and felt like the rebirth should reflect that. She highlighted how impressed she was with him, which signaled a potential job offer in his future.
