Mia Goth, Dan Stevens and Zach Galifianakis assemble for the upcoming 'beary funny' film Hey Bear

As reported by Deadline, Hey Bear boasts a delightful star cast, including Mia Goth, Dan Stevens, and Zach Galifianakis. In the film, Goth will portray the role of Claire, a timid woman who has always followed the status quo and codes decided by others. Her husband, Gregory (portrayed by Stevens), is passionate about research on bears and therefore lives away from her in Glacier National Park. Claire is certainly not in agreement with this long distance, but she agrees to support his work nonetheless.

However, in an unfortunate incident, Gregory is killed by Mr. Cranky, a grizzly bear. Claire then comes to know that she was lied to by the park authorities about Mr. Cranky's whereabouts post Gregory's death. The bear has actually shifted to a different park and is living peacefully. This enrages Claire, as she was made to believe that Mr. Cranky was put down by the authorities.

With the help of Putt (played by Galifianakis), a clumsy park ranger, Claire, who is now soaked in immense bereavement from her husband's death, is out on a raging pursuit to get even with the bear. The film explores the transformative journey of Claire, as her vengeful motive leads her to achieve emancipation as well as her own individuality.

Hey Bear shall be brought in for purchase at the American Film Festival, with its global distribution managed by HanWay Films. For its distribution in the region of North America, we have companies including UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent. Alix Madigan is producing the film, with the film authored by Carrie Kemper.

As per the outlet, this is what the CEO of HanWay Films, Gabrielle Stewart, elucidates about the film, and especially about Mia Goth's character Claire, by stating:

“There is nothing more thrilling than coming across a project that breaks barriers in terms of originality. As absurd and crazy as the premise of this story is, you always fully connect and empathize with Claire’s journey as she figures out how, out of grief, to take ownership of her life again. Mia Goth, Dan Stevens, and Zach Galifianakis are the dream team to make us laugh, feel, and gasp with shock and horror.”

English actor Mia Goth is well known for her work in films such as Suspiria, Emma, X, MaXXXine, and many more. She is also starring in upcoming films, including Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein and Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.

Dan Stevens, who is also an English actor, is distinguished for his work in Downton Abbey, Beauty and the Beast, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, and The Ritual, to name a few.

American actor Zach Galifianakis, who is also a comedian, is well established for his work in The Hangover films, It's Kind of a Funny Story, Baskets, BIRDMAN or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), etc.
