How is Vin Diesel honoring Paul Walker? 'Fast & Furious' star reflects on late friend 12 years after tragedy

Vin Diesel is remembering Paul Walker in a deeply personal way on the 12th anniversary of the late actor's death.

In his poignant Instagram post on Sunday, Nov. 30, the 58-year-old actor reflected on his friendship with his late Fast & Furious co-star and how Walker's presence lives in his family.

"The universe keeps placing angels in my path. I know you are a part of it… a brotherhood eternal. Love you forever…"

Vin Diesel accompanied his post with a candid photo of himself with the late star. In another post, which also included a throwback snap of Diesel and Walker, the Last Witch Hunter actor wrote in his caption:

"Twelve years… Not a day goes by… Miss you."

Paul Walker, who starred in the street-racing and heist movie franchise as Brian O'Conner beginning in 2001, died in a tragic car collision in California on Nov. 30, 2013. He was 40.

Walker passed before the release of Furious 7, the seventh Fast & Furious installment, in 2015. This led to the late actor's brothers standing in for him to assist in completing his scenes, including the ending sequence where Walker's character drives toward another road, parting ways with Dominic Toretto (Diesel).

Meanwhile, to honor him, Vin Diesel named his daughter Pauline. Before editing his caption in his newest post, Diesel reflected on the fact that his daughter never got to meet Paul Walker—before writing:

"but when I call her name, I know you're near."

He added that such a way to honor Paul Walker got him clinging to the "smallest memories" left by the late actor, which included Walker's "grin" that irked Diesel. Nevertheless, the Chronicles of Riddick star expressed:

"I'd give anything to be irritated by you one more time."

Vin Diesel went on, sharing how Paul Walker was committed to being a father to Meadow.

"Filming the first 'Fast,' you talked about her with such wonder in your voice. You showed how sacred fatherhood would be. When your mom saw me this summer, she looked right through me… Like she was searching for you. Like somehow, through my eyes, she could still find her son."

The actor continued:

"She was right, you know. You were always my other half. I couldn't have made it without your family's love."

Apart from his 12th anniversary, Vin Diesel also remembered Paul Walker in September on what would've been the late star's 52nd birthday. At the time, Diesel wrote:

"Twelve years... not a day passes I don't think about your absence, but as each year goes by, I smile more at the gifts you left behind, the clarity you offered."

He concluded the heartfelt message with:

"Thank you for being who you always were. Thank you for showing me that we could still rise, still inspire, still shine while standing in our truth. Indeed, you will always be Brian, Pablo... and you will always be my brother."
