Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement has been the flavor of the week since the pop star announced the news on Instagram on August 26. The post — a carousel of snippets from the dreamy, flower-laden proposal — quickly ignited outpouring of congratulatory messages, both from fans and fellow celebrities.
But according to a new report, one particular name was absent from the list of well-wishers: Blake Lively.
An insider from The Daily Mail said that The Shallows actress has chosen not to reach out following the announcement.

“Blake didn’t reach out [following the engagement announcement] and isn’t going to. This isn’t the time. What would be the point of reaching out now? It really makes no sense. [Lively] has bigger fish to fry.”
The source also commented about Lively's possibility of attending Swift and Kelce's wedding, saying:
“There’s no ‘will she or won’t she’ about Blake being in the wedding, because she just won’t. She knows that, and I don’t think she particularly wants to talk about that.”
Blake Lively referred to Taylor Swift as a "dragon" in leaked texts amid legal dispute
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively were once known for their close friendship, as they were often spotted together in public, such as in restaurants or during football games. Plenty of times, the two were also photographed embracing each other or walking hand in hand, highlighting their strong bond.
However, their relationship seemed to have taken a dip beginning last year when the actress became entangled in a legal drama with her In Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni.

Blake Lively accused the actor of se**al harassment in a lawsuit, which he denied and later filed a countersuit. As the case escalated, the Con Man star publicly released private messages in which Blake Lively allegedly described Taylor Swift as one of her “dragons.”
One message read:
“I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better."
Another said:
“Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really, we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. [Smiley-face emoji] you will too, I can promise you."
The disclosure reportedly strained Blake Lively and Taylor Swift’s friendship, leaving uncertainty in their bond. According to another source, the Cruel Summer hitmaker allegedly "was really hurt" after becoming involved in Lively's legal issues.

The insider told People:
"Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point and that their friendship wasn’t done for good."
They added:
“Taylor was really hurt by this situation, so she’s relieved they were able to recover from this and put it all behind them because it wasn’t something she took lightly."
Later on, Taylor Swift and Blake Lively reportedly were said to be working on their friendship, but according to a source:
"Their friendship isn't the same as it was before."
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have yet to announce their wedding date.
Meanwhile, the songstress is releasing her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3.
