Businessman Dave Portnoy shared his thoughts about the recent interview drama surrounding Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson. On May 1, 2025, episode of his The Unnamed Show podcast, Portnoy looked back on his first meeting with Hudson.

Kirk Minihane recalled that Portnoy wanted to have Belichick on the podcast but had to run everything through his partner. However, Dave Portnoy interrupted, saying:

“I think I did tell you that I was at an event. I had met Jordon and it was clear she ran the show like she managed. We both were together at a speaking gig. She and I, she just ran the show it was very obvious was it.”

Reflecting on how the recent interview turned out, Portnoy said:

“She is like the boss woman of this mythical Bill Belichick enterprises like she is not hiding. Like something bad happens, she takes a selfie and she is right back like firing emails and she is not taking a step back. The more pressure that or more attention she dives more into it. She is running this man.”

Dave Portnoy brought up how Bill Belichick mentioned in the interview that he didn’t care what others thought of him and did what he believed was right. According to Portnoy, this included being involved with Jordon Hudson because he liked it.

Kirk Minihane questioned why, if Belichick truly didn’t care about public opinion, he seemed to let Jordon Hudson take on a public relations role. Portnoy responded that it likely wasn’t something Belichick asked for, but rather something Jordon decided to take on herself.

Dave Portnoy suggested that Jordon Hudson controlled Bill Belichick

Dave Portnoy commented on the CBS Sunday Morning interview, saying he was surprised they brought her up at all, as the show usually avoided controversy. He guessed she must have been considered frustrating.

He also mentioned a recent New York Post article claiming she had quickly bought around $10 million worth of real estate, acquiring multiple properties in a short time. He found the purchases unusual and speculated that she might be renting them out.

The podcast hosts talked about how Jordon Hudson interrupted the interview, even when the questions were about sports. Dave Portnoy pointed out that she seemed to be taking control of things. Minihane questioned what situation he meant, and Portnoy clarified he was talking about the relationship, saying:

“She runs Bill Belichick.”

Minihane pointed out that there wasn’t a situation to control. Belichick was a football coach promoting a book, and none of the controversy would have happened if Jordon Hudson hadn’t been involved.

Portnoy said she had inserted herself into every affair, but Minihane argued that instead of taking control, she made things worse and caused chaos. When Portnoy asked who it was worse for, Minihane said it made Bill Belichick look foolish. Dave Portnoy commented:

“She's the CEO of the like I don't think she is upset at all with any of this coverage.”

Dave Portnoy suggested that Jordon Hudson had the upper hand in the relationship, implying that she made the decisions and Bill Belichick followed her lead without question.
