Amber Rose is the newest celebrity to share their vocal support for Tory Lanez’s acquittal.

The popular TV personality and model shared a Change.org petition via her Instagram Stories, encouraging everyone to sign it. Rose shared how none of Lanez’s DNA was found on the gun, implying that he was wrongfully convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Amber wrote,

“Free Tory!!! He’s innocent his DNA was NOT ON THE GUN AT ALL!!! Sing Now!”

Multiple well-known X handles, including @PopCrave, posted about Amber Rose’s story on Instagram. The petition shared by the College Hill: Celebrity Edition star has over 250K signatures, as shared by one of the supporters (@Fargo_Argentino) on X,

Many netizens were in disbelief after the Dancing with the Stars Season 23 shared the petition via her Instagram Stories. Amber Rose and other signees received backlash on X for supporting Tory Lanez, who was convicted in 2022.

“I don't think they even know what he was convicted of,” a user shared.

“Can we start a petition to keep him in there,” another user wrote.

“She should never speak on anything ever again,” someone advised Rose amidst the backlash.

Rose is not the only celebrity to come out supporting Tory Lanez. Well-known names like Drake, Kodak Black, Ye, Ty Dolla Sign, and more have shared the same petition using their platforms. All have urged Governor Newscom to pardon the rapper-singer, who is currently imprisoned at the California Correctional Institution.

As mentioned, Lanez faced conviction in the shooting of Savage rapper. The incident allegedly happened in 2020 after a party, and initially, it was claimed that Megan Thee Stallion suffered an injury on her foot due to glass. She later accused Tory of shooting at her feet, while he denied the allegations.

Eventually, after the trial, Lanez received the conviction in December 2022, and was handed a 10-year-sentence the following year. Recently, the Sorry 4 What rapper was involved in an incident at the institution where he has been incarcerated. According to TMZ, Tory Lanez was stabbed by another prisoner before he was rushed to hospital.

According to the official statement from the rapper’s reps, he was stabbed 14 times but is currently in a stable condition.
