Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick starrer Babies casts Dan Stevens among a few other actors, details revealed

In the upcoming film Babies, starring Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick, we have some new exciting additions to the cast. As per Variety, actors including Dan Stevens, Zach Cherry, Issa Rae, and Kate Berlant have joined the ensemble.

The comedy film is helmed by Lauren Miller Roger, who has previously directed as well as acted in the 2018 film Like Father. Some of her acting roles include Superbad, 50/50, For a Good Time, Call..., Grey's Anatomy, and many more.

Her upcoming directorial follows the plot of a couple, Annie and Aaron, who are in a constant state of dilemma over whether they want to become parents. To add to this distress, things become more chaotic when their divorced friend begins living with them, along with her child. In the process, the couple understood more about parenting.

Its synopsis, as per IMDb, goes as follows:

A couple grappling with parenthood finds their lives turned upside down when their friend and her toddler move in after a divorce, giving them an unexpected crash course in raising a child.

As reported by Variety, the new additions to the cast of Babies include Issa Rae, Zach Cherry, Kate Berlant, and Dan Stevens.

Back in August this year, it was reported that Anna Kendrick was in talks to star in the film. Well, she is starring in Babies in the role of Annie. In this film, Lauren Miller Roger is collaborating with her husband, Seth Rogen, who stars as Aaron.

Actor Dan Stevens is well known for his work in Downton Abbey, The Guest, Beauty and the Beast, Legion, Apostle, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and many more. His latest releases include The Ritual and Swiped.

Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated Issa Rae is distinguished for her work in The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl, Insecure, The Hate U Give, The Photograph, and Barbie, to name a few.

Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Zach Cherry is noted for his work in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Unsane, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, You, Succession, Severance, Fallout, etc.

Comedian and actor Kate Berlant, who is prominent for her work in comedy, is known for starring in films including Happy Anniversary, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Frankenstein's Monster's Monster, Frankenstein, First Time Female Director, and many more.

A new report by the outlet also revealed that, in aid of the Film and Television Tax Credit by the California Film Commission, the filming of Babies has recently begun in Los Angeles.

Lauren Miller Roger, along with directing the film, is producing as well. Under the banner of Lylas Pictures, she is joined by Jen W. Ray. We also have producers, including Steve Barnett from Monarch and Stuart Ford from AGC. The executive producers of the film are Sophie Høegh (from Lylas Pictures), Vicky Patel and Alan Powell (from Monarch), and Zach Garrett and Miguel A. Palos (from AGC).
