General Hospital's Drew Cain may have gone a bit too far, causing Willow Tait to crack in half and the Ashford clan to say, "Yeah, we're done." And then the Ashfords decided they were done, boy, did they take action.

Drew overplayed his hand

We thought that when Drew purposely allowed Wiley to believe that his dad didn't want him anymore, there was no lower he could go. We were very, very wrong. Drew's lowest moment came last week when he devised yet another blackmail scheme and demanded that Portia fudge Michael's medical records to make him seem like an opioid addict. Drew's lowest moment became Portia's breaking point, but he doesn't know that just yet.

However, he does seem to know that he's created a monster in the form of his almost-wife (maybe, we'll find out on Monday...). Drew took one look at Willow, all giddy about a wedding while talking about the Q estate, and he knew she had to be the one targeting Michael and Sasha's baby. One would think that would make him want to sit down and have a gentle talk with his nephew's ex-wife, but he did no such thing. He forged ahead with his wedding despite knowing that his actions helped cause this woman to become a shadow of her former self.

Or perhaps Drew has less self-awareness than Willow and will just blame the change on Nina, since everything else that goes wrong in Port Charles is blamed on her. Perhaps Drew is just as delusional as Willow and thinks marrying her will make everything all better. That may or may not happen because the Ashfords struck back.

Enter Portia...

Who could read Portia's thoughts as she stood in her office and tried to explain to Willow what Drew was up to, as if Willow were five. We could see the thought bubbles forming, and are sure that "Girl, seriously" belonged in at least one of them.

Portia worried that there was a possibility that Willow was so far gone in the Dawn of Drew cult that she wouldn't believe the truth about her fiancé, but Willow was way further gone than that. She actually had no problem with the idea of Drew blackmailing Portia and painting Michael to look like a drug addict. In fact, she cheered him on. At that point, Portia gave up, but Curtis sure didn't.

Curtis cuts to the chase (not that Chase)

Remember when Drew was Curtis' best man when he married Portia, and Curtis was Nina's best man when she almost married Valentin? Well, sometimes you have to leave the F out of BFF because Curtis definitely forgot about the forever part. And so did Drew.

In fact, Drew forgot about it late last year when he decided to screw Curtis out of the Aurora CEO position just to bribe Michael into forgetting all about that silly kiss (or ten) with Willow. So, Curtis has been playing dirty with Drew ever since, but not as dirty as Drew has been playing with Portia. Curtis may be exasperated by the mess Portia got herself into with Drew, but he had to choose between his wife and one of his very best friends, and he chose his wife.

Curtis didn't mince words or waste any time. Once he decided he was going to betray Nina, he waltzed right into the bride's room at the church and just spit it out, telling Willow that her mother had sex with her fiancé. Heck, we didn't even need to see Curtis explain this bombshell, and we didn't. By the next episode, Curtis had come and gone, but he waved that lightsaber around, struck back, and landed a quick blow on Drew without lifting a finger. And Drew doesn't even know it...yet.

Trina's done too

Then there's poor Trina, whose first real romance since Spencer went belly up, because her boyfriend essentially chose Drew over her and betrayed her trust. Trina, we feel ya. Drew did your parents wrong in a myriad of ways, and your dumb boyfriend just didn't care. You keep staying TeamAshford, and we will have your back.

The Bride of Frankenstein...or Frankenstein's Monster?

And then we have Willow, one of soaps' dimmest, most delusional characters, ready to walk down the aisle thinking she has absolutely nothing to do with the hot mess her life has become. Willow took quite a journey this week, but when she got Nina alone in that room, she did EXACTLY what fans have been predicting for a year, and exactly what Nina had been predicting, too. She became feral with her mother.

Nothing is ever Willow's fault in Willow's addled mind, so Nina has now become the fall guy and punching bag. Since Willow has spent most of the time she has known Nina being cruel to her, it wasn't hard for her to revert to form and spit nails at Nina for not telling her something she probably should have mentioned. We'll give Willow a pass there, but Willow made her bed...or at least her playroom floor and office floor. Now it's time for her to lie in it.

Because here are some facts. Drew and Nina did NOT have an "affair" behind your back. They were two consenting unmarried adults who chose to have hate sex. Was it a good idea? Likely not. But it was their choice to make, just like it was Willow's choice to have sex with Drew while married.

But Willow thinks her life is ruined because her mother left out a tidbit of information that might have led her to make different choices, but would it have? After all, Willow knew darn well her fiancé was ready to set her husband up as a drug addict and was all for it. Amazing how this was the bridge too far, probably because it involved everyone's favorite Port Charles punching bag, Nina.

Nina deserved better daughters

Poor Nina. What did she ever do to deserve Nelle and Willow as her children? Did she get pregnant with her husband's kids at just 22 years old, which led her mother to try and induce a miscarriage so her mother didn't lose her inheritance? Did that attempt to induce a miscarriage land Nina in a coma for 20 years? Did Nina wake up in perimenopause and learn that not only was her child dead (a lie), but she couldn't have any more kids?

Did she then discover that Ava had an affair with her husband that also resulted in a pregnancy, causing Nina to lose it when she learned that Ava got to raise Silas' child when Nina had no children? Yes, to all of that. And for all that trouble, she ended up with two disturbed daughters who proceeded to give her nothing but misery from the day she met them. (At least Ava is her BFF now.)

While we do agree with Willow that Nina really should have told her about the Drew sex, we get why Nina didn't. It wouldn't have mattered if Willow told her last summer or this summer. Willow would have turned on Nina and acted exactly as she did when Curtis finally spilled his (former) best friend's secret. We expect to see Nina groveling to Willow for months to come, but we don't want to see that. We want her to hop a flight to France so she can spend time with her superior daughter, Sasha. Sometimes the best kids are the ones you didn't give birth to.

Oh, that's right, Britt's alive

While Aunt Liesl dealt with all the Willow and Nina drama, Jason spotted her daughter boarding a plane for Croatia, and he's not sure if he is losing his mind or not. Carly did NOT like hearing that Jason actually thought he saw Britt. That means that Jason really did have feelings for Britt, making hers and Jason's five-second 2021 marriage more of a joke than she realized. Cause Jason sure didn't have a flashback montage about Carly this week. That was all Britt's territory. Carly didn't even know about the JaBritt montage and still looked like she was going to have a cow. (She did try to keep her cool, but we know it was hard for her.)

Sonny's still a mobster, ya'll. We are not sure where those retirement plans went, but he just keeps getting sucked in further and did all those mobster things this week. Now Lucas is all mad at him. Ho hum.

Finally, FINALLY, Anna has figured out that Josslyn is a super spy. She should have deduced that by May sweeps and not on some random Monday in July. Her reasons for not confronting Jack and Joss about this are kinda dumb, but if she did, maybe this dopey Joss-tuned-WSB-agent story would finally come to an end.
