General Hospital's Ringtone Race: Why we still think Willow shot Drew

It's all in the ringtone on General Hospital. For months, fans have speculated that the "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" ringtone that Kai and Trina heard the night Drew was shot was the key to everything. After the January 6, 2026, episode, Kai and Trina finally think they know who shot Drew, but do they?

Okay, so we are willing to believe that Michael's (Rory Gibson) ringtone for Wiley is indeed "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," but who is to say that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) doesn't have the same ringtone for her son? It's not unusual for parents to do that, and it would make sense that Wiley might call his mom after having a nightmare and not just his dad.

Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) are now sure that Michael is the culprit, but teasers say that Thursday is the day that they come to a shocking realization about who really shot Drew (Cameron Mathison), which indicates that Michael is not their man. But is Willow their woman?

That ringtone was definitely coming from inside the house, or Kai and Trina would not have heard it so clearly. That means either Michael was lying or someone else was in the house with the same ringtone. Whoever shot Drew also had longer hair than Michael, but the same length hair as Willow...

Was it Willow or Nellow?

We have been saying for months that there is more than one personality floating around in Willow's addled mind. From the moment she woke in the ER after her breakdown at the custody hearing, something has been different about Willow. She woke with a start in the same way that her mother did in 2014 when Michelle Stafford's Nina opened her eyes for the first time in 20 years. Nina was also suffering from a psychotic break right around that time, so who is to say that Willow didn't do the same in June?

Our once sweet Willow even stalked a baby and her new mother, taking Daisy out for walks, changing her onesie, and holding her close because she couldn't hold her own children. That story has been seemingly forgotten about, but it all fits the pattern of a mental break or a personality break.

After all, Willow has been through in her life — especially with being raised in a sex cult — a DID story would make perfect sense. Perhaps there have been multiple personalities living inside Willow for years, but losing her children has brought them out in full force.

It's unusual when the character on trial actually turns out to be the culprit, but if the culprit is Willow, but not really Willow, then it is really unusual at all?
