While most soap opera actors share posts on social media, General Hospital’s Kin Shriner is at the top of the list with the most unique and interesting ones. He recently shared an update about his injured foot, but fans still wonder whether or not he will be bringing Scotty Baldwin back to Port Charles. He often shares his love for Old Hollywood, and even posted a fun action-movie throwback that he was involved in. He often shares fun memories and recently brought up a special holiday memory that a lot of people could relate to.

Do you remember?

With an out-of-focus photo of himself, and one line from the iconic Doors song, Light My Fire, playing on an incessant loop, General Hospital’s Kin Shriner wrote on Instagram, “U can still buy firecrackers in Fla and water ski, but no M80s. Who remembers them?!!!!” For those who don’t recall, M80s were these super powerful firecrackers that had initially been created so the U.S. military could simulate artillery fire during training exercises. They eventually were sold to average people in fireworks stores, but were later banned because they could cause people some major injuries.

@cyndileerice remembered exactly what M80s were, responding, “Who could forget those?!!! They were like sticks of dynamite!!” While we all used to think that M80s were a quarter stick of dynamite, they’re not. Dynamite contains the highly explosive nitroglycerin and is far more powerful than a simple M80. Among the fans who reminisced about them was @lisa_marieloca01, who wrote, “I do, we had those back in the day!”

Even though the General Hospital star’s music choice was an almost annoying loop of one line over and over, @robinbonaguro commented, “The Doors, great choice, Kin. They will never be forgotten.” Another follower, @wonderful_loving_mona, eagerly shared their memories of fireworks with, “Oh yes, I remember watching them out my back window when I lived in New York. They had crowns, pearl necklaces, and different designs in the sky. They had so many types of fireworks back then. That changed from one thing to something totally different.” They then changed gears a bit, commenting, “Looks like you are back in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I love your hairstyle.”

Among the fan demands for Scotty’s return to General Hospital, @dorothynpartain stayed on topic and shared, “Back in the day, growing up in Brooklyn, NY, our neighborhood had the best fireworks show. 12th Street and 6th Ave neighbors put on the best.” And some fans had some scary stories involving fireworks with @dreamweaver.79 responding, “All the illegal fireworks in California have been going off in my neighborhood for years. This year, we have what sounds like mortars being launched (I feel the vibrations inside my house with doors and windows closed) and car alarms going off all over.”

You can watch new episodes of General Hospital on ABC and Hulu.
