Beyoncé may be the one at the forefront of her Cowboy Carter World Tour, but her daughters — Blue Ivy, 13, and Rumi Carter, 8 — are undoubtedly stealing the spotlight.
The Carter siblings have become unexpected fan-favorites, each bringing a unique energy to the stage. While Blue Ivy exudes confidence and control with her precise choreography and calm poise, Rumi has been charming the crowd with her bubbly presence.
During the tour's kickoff last April, Rumi Carter made her debut appearance alongside her mom and older sister during “Protector.” Her unfiltered cheerfulness and choreographed moves immediately captivated the audience’s hearts.
Beyoncé even paused mid-show to embrace her daughter and say:
“Beautiful job.”
Their grandmother, Tina Knowles, also shared insight into Rumi Carter’s budding love for performing during a book event in May:
“I said, ‘How do you feel when you wave and everybody screams?’ She said, ‘It feels powerful.’”
But while Rumi plays to the spectators, Blue Ivy often takes on a more grounded role. She offers subtle cues and guides the younger. During one of their performances, the older Carter sister even responded to a fan’s “We Love U Manager Blue” sign with a nod and thumbs up.
Both sisters have also shown they can handle high-pressure moments with surprising grace. On May 15 in Chicago, Blue Ivy averted a wardrobe mishap by unclasping an earring that got tangled in Beyoncé’s hair mid-performance.
Just two days later, Rumi returned the favor, brushing Blue’s braids out of her face mid-choreo in a quiet but confident move.
The tour has also celebrated more personal moments. On June 12 in London, Beyoncé had the crowd join in to sing happy birthday to Rumi and her twin brother, Sir, turning the spotlight once again on the next generation of Carters.
As the "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" hitmaker's tour continues, it’s clear her daughters are not just along for the ride. They are growing into superstars in their own right.
Rumi Carter melts hearts with an adorable shoutout at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour
Meanwhile, Beyoncé's youngest daughter, Rumi Carter, recently captivated hearts with her dulcet, three-word message to the crowd during the pop icon's Cowboy Carter's Atlanta leg.
In a snippet, Tina Knowles captured Rumi Carter's enthusiasm in interacting with the spectators. She shared the compiled clips through her Instagram with the caption:
"My grandbaby girl Rumi in Red."
This signals her huge support for Rumi's presence in Beyoncé's world tour.
In the video, the "Crazy in Love" hitmaker steps towards the center stage while Rumi sweetly clings to her side. Then, the 8-year-old looks ahead and mouths "I love you" to the concertgoers repeatedly.
Blue Ivy is also next to them, as she is part of the tour's backup dancers.
The Cowboy Carter tour just capped off its Atlanta leg on July 13. Beyoncé is headed next to Las Vegas for a two-night show, July 25 and 26.
